Hi everybody. I filed a petition for another fiance in the past. After divorce, I didn't keep any paperwork of that petition because I didn't think I will never sponsor anyone to US any more. But I fell in love with another foreign person again, and then I am filing a new petition...My problem is answering question 14.e on form I-129F, they ask for Date of Filing of past petition - includes date, month and year. Now I can only remember the year of my previous petition. Is there any way to retrieve past personal petitioning record? And how bad if I can only provide the year of my previous filing?

I appreciate very much for any help.

Put down your best idea of the month and year. You ought to be able to get pretty close.

Visit a local USCIS office... they may be able to help you out with the history.

Hi everyone. Thank you all for your help. I will try to contact USCIS first. I will post the result here to let everyone know how helpful USCIS is in this filing issue.

Putting Unknown is a truthful answer. USCIS can look it up if they need to.

Hi everybody. I tried to contact USCIS by telephone, making appointment, and mail, but I haven't got any help from USCIS yet. Telephoning and making appointment will prompt you to input your case number and they only deal with active case numbers. So a processed case like mine will be rejected. I also sent them a letter, but no letter back. That's all that happened. I have to try my best.

Thank you for all your help. Have a nice day.
