What time is the appointment and what is your time zone? I am just curious because Amsterdam is 6 hours ahead of EST zone.

Are you gonna sleep or stay up waiting for the call?

The appointment is at 1:30pm amsterdam time (nearly all amsterdam appointments are at this time on either Tuesday or Thursday). It will be 7:30am here when he goes in. I will just be dropping my oldest daughter at school then. Then I am busy with my youngest until 9 when her school starts. So I won't be home until 9:15 or so. I'm glad I'll be busy, I'm not so good at waiting. ;) I hope he's approved and can call to let me know before I have too much time to sit and think and begin to worry!

Everything will be fine. Keeps us updated!

I definitely will! I am so grateful for the help and support of everyone here. <3

Lets hope that with NVC closed for 3 days, they will come back and be ready for work.

Let us get some more CC´s in here and soon they will start interview dates again.

I know it's not likely, but I'm secretly hoping for a interview scheduled this week, or maybe they scheduled it on friday afternoon after I called them. Wishful thinking...

Second does anyone know when does the nvc schedules appointment for the next month?! Like at the first two weeks of the month or the second or what?!?

NVC runs dates for the first 2 and last 2 weeks in separate blocks.

So next one will start soon or we hope.

It´s seems like that they have made some small changes, but i don´t think that is one of them.

Has anyone recently interviewed at the London embassy? If yes, how long did it take to get your passport back with the visa after the interview??!?

One line is all you need :)

Go look in the spreadsheet and find ppl in London.

Our case is still on AP. We still couldn't get IRS transcripts from our sponsor (IRS was down for about a week or so).

Today I was going though the documents they returned to me at the interview and I've noticed they gave back the medical report and x-ray cd back. Are they supposed to do that? :reading:

and they didn't ask for passport size pictures(we sent them to the nvc). should I sent them with the transcript or is that normal too?

thanks

HI Mate,

Did you submit the transcript and received the visa?, i was asked to do the same thing and has requested my wife to organize it asap

Hello all, for our case we were instructed by the embassy that we need to show proof of an intent to re-establich domicile in the U.S., the dreaded 221(g). While we have taken most of the steps in terms of applying to jobs, and making a considerable money transfer to our U.S. bank account, as well as providing information such as driver's license etc., we still have a sticking point of showing proof of where we're going to live when we get there.

We made plans to stay with our joint sponsor for the short term, upon our arrival, until we find a place of our own and move into it. In order to show this to the embassy I've read around that we can get a letter from him stating that we have made such arrangements.

Does anyone have (or can at least point me to) a sample letter as such. We're not really sure what kind of (or how much) information it should include, and how detailed it should be. Should it be an official rental agreement, even though he doesn't plan to charge us for staying with him? Are there any specific points that we have to make in this letter? Does the letter need to be notarized?

Your help as always is immensely appreciated.
