I think NVC is picking up the pace. They received my petition exactly 1 week ago, 2/01, and I called tonight and the nice guy i spoke with, George, said just finished assigning a case number and IIN. wooohoooooooooo!!!

He said to wait until I get a letter from NVC about what to do next, but since I've been reading Dept of State website since last July and VJ has been super helpful, i knew what to do. I already submitted the DS-261!

Hi everyone! We've filed our I-130 in August and finally got an e-notification that our case was approved on Feb 5th. Yay! So confused about the paperwork but I guess with you guys things will be better to understand :-)

So i just read the NVC guide and yes, it´s very helpful :-)

One question though: It says i can send photocopies. Do they have to be certified copies or are "regular" copies okay since i will bring the originals to the interview anyway? I´m talking about the supporting documents for the beneficiary (me) such as birth certificate, police record and the passport copy.

Plus i´m still unsure about contacting the NVC or not. Should i start calling them about the case number & invoice identification number or shall we just wait until we hear something?

Keep originals for the interview.

Im pretty sure you you'd rather call than wait.. so go ahead and start calling after a week from your approval.

I am sorry! Im very frustrated of this wait ! It's depressing me more and making me lose focus at work and in everything! ?? does anyone know why there weren't any completed cases yesterday or last friday!? Everything in this process is so frustrating and depressing im thinking of quitting this because im so tired of the stress its making me go through!!

They are definitely touching/reviewing Jan scan dates because we got someone from the NVC (JUNE 2015 i130 approvals) [edited title]

I was in a hurry to send things i sent the i864 and i864a without a proof of relationship and i didnt send the work licenses of my sponsor as he is self employed?

I did all the research i could i didn't know about vj and they didnt send me the email with the checklist and a barcoad they just sent me the one with their address and a barcoad

Well welcome to VJ. I see you FB2 so I have no idea what your packages entail. Hopefully if you do get a checklist it will be one that you take care of at embassy.

Its almost the same thing? I got the information from the travelstate site so i guess its where all visas get their info from the affadivit of support and its documents is the same for everyone the civil documents is the thing that differs
