So I have asked my employer, a recruiting agency, for a letter stating that I have employment (until they get rid of me and they state that as "possible extension"). I have asked twice for a hard copy but because they do not care about temps, I got close enough to at least getting an emailed version of it because they said they do not have a reason to send a paper copy. So can I print the PDF which is then to be sent to my fiancee along with all other paper work that goes with (and also accompanies I-134 Affidavit of Support? Will a print out be just as okay? I believe I am to send copies anyway, but for peace of mind, want to be sure.

Also, I could use some prayers because I know months back when I joined, people told me not to worry that as long as I am making over the poverty line, they not care my job a temp. But I am getting fearful now because they may think, "well he can not always be supporting her, so why bother?" Truth is, as I learned after 15 years in one company before my sad layoff... EVERY JOB IS TEMPORARY. I just could use some peace of mind about this too.

Thank you.

KISS applies

Get a letter confirming

when you stared in their employ

what you do

how much you are paid.

Why comment on the nature of your employment contract? You have your pay slips.

Missing it, Question 7 asks about employment?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Email a copy of the email from your employer (as a PDF if you so choose) to your fiancee, don't stress on about it. The employer letter is not on the required list with USEM, but if you are a fairly new employee I believe it is a good idea to have the letter.

So it will be accepted that I print it then? Good, because they refuse to send me a hard copy. I have no worth to them. At least that is one thing off my chest. Now to get one from the bank...

Robert, which directions you seeing that from?
