So I submitted one request online couple of days ago - haven't heard anything back (apart from an automatic confirmation).

And then I called them just now. The lady on the line was super nice - she confirmed the receipt # and stuff and put me on hold.

So she told me, it's within the normal process time and "we regret to inform you that your case is still pending". She also said that she can see I had a service request done already and they have replied by mail (with the same information).

She told me that I won't be able to send in another service request until 30 days later (which is Feb 8) and she said usually the EAD takes about 90 days and my processing time is totally normal.

:(

Guess they can't really predict when it really will be approved but I hate how it can go from 60 days to 90days....... ?

My husband wants to go back to school and I have a job offering waiting.

:crying::crying::crying: guess he will have to wait till next semester and I might miss my job opportunity.

I just realized that it's been 88 days since they received the applications. Does it mean that I can book an INFOPASS appointment with the local USCIS to see what's going on next Monday (Day 90)?

See this is where I'm a little unsure cause can we really count weekends as "a day" or is it business daysonly?!I would probably wait until next Friday and then make an info pass.

With all this I don't believe in requesting them to speed anything up really and truly works...

Sucks big time

I think it's just days in general. I understand that the holidays might have hold things up a little bit and I will probably wait for another week before I book the INFOPASS appointment. Either way, waiting is frustrating as hell. :( yet there's nothing much we can do other than waiting...

I hope we can get ours by the end of next week. I should probably take my mind off this during the weekend.

Enjoy your weekend :) !!!

If it's any help, I put in a service request for the EAD and called the customer service number about AP (the woman on the other end said that she had the same information that was on the USCIS tracker, and no other information). It didn't seem to help at the time but 2 days later EAD and AP were approved, and the approval date was actually set as 2 days before, so not sure if my call had any effect or if it was just coincidence :)

Sometimes you gotta push buttons to get what you need! Especially with USCIS.
