Urgent need help with RFE

I'm flying to Philippines this Thursday 01/07/16 to visit my fiancee for 17 days, and wouldn't you know it I just got notification I was sent an RFE today 01/04/16. How can I find out what there requesting without waiting for notice? I would hate to cancel my trip, any suggestions. They said they mailed it today 01/04/16 but wouldn't give me any details. It's coming from the California service center one state over to state of Washinton where I live.

Hopefully the USPS will be speedy with the delivery of your RFE. You may want to review some RFE-related threads, but I can't readily recall anybody ever getting the complete RFE information other than by US mail.

Hopefully the RFE will be for something minor and easily remedied.

You cannot obtain any details on the RFE from USCIS; you will need to wait to receive it in the mail.

If the RFE letter does not arrive before you leave, just have a family member or a friend check your mail box and read it to you or scan it and send it to you via email. Maybe you can work on the RFE while you are visiting or wait until your return from your trip. You will have plenty time to respond. I don't see a reason why you should cancel your trip if you are only going to be away for two weeks. You should be okay. Good luck!

When USCIS notifies you that RFE was sent on certain date, my RFE notification said sent on 01/04/16, is it really sent on that date. How long have members here who received RFE notifications had to wait until actually receiving in mail?

Thanks mamed, nice to know. I'm hoping I get it before I leave, if not sounds like I will have time to respond when I get back. Sucks wondering what it's about for two weeks though. Just hoping something simple like proof site we met on wasn't IMB. I heard of a few of those RFE's being sent recently.

I received my RFE in Manila yesterday. They wanted "Letter of Intent from Beneficiary, and circumstance of when we met on christianfilipino.com website. They also asked for status of site in regard to (IMB). I am puzzled to why they are asking for any of this information because it was all provided with original submission of I-129F. This has caused a one month delay in approval. I will be sending my RFE response from Manila to CSC soon. Just resubmitting all evidence and including statement and email from christianfilipino.com stating they are not an International Marriage Broker.
