What address was listed on your G325A?

You now need to get yourself back home in order to start receiving Packet 3 and Packet 4.

Packet 3 could likely arrive within the next two weeks.

It's OK. All of the mail will go to my parents house.

I should be able to discuss matters with them over the telephone and act accordingly.

I cannot afford to go back home right now. I am here in Mexico working.

My plan was always to get back home once I have the interview date.

Paul, if you are staying in Mexico, you are going to need to have your parents ship Packet 3 to you and you are going to have to see it is mailed back to the consulate BEFORE an interview will be issued. There are documents in Packet 3 that require your live signature.

You cannot wait until the interview to go home.

At the very least, you will have to return home in time for your visa medical. You do have SOME control over when that appointment will be. Follow the instructions in Packet 3.

Wow. Now there's a scary thought! Posting things to Mexico. I'm still waiting for my Valentines Day present that was sent from Dallas!!!!

What exactly is in packet 3?

Thanks

Lord, it's been ages....I don't remember exactly.

DS-156, DS-230 - something like that. It's in the guides.

There are 4 or 5 forms and the all-important checklist. The checklist must be returned before an interview will be scheduled. It's best to mail all the forms back to them at one time.

Have you ordered your Police Certificate? It takes 40 days approximately for that. What about long form birth certificate? You will need both of these for the interview.

My husband's brother sent Packet 3 to us in the States via FedEx. We returned it to the consulate in the same manner. I would NOT recommend regular mail - US, UK, Mexico - wherever.

Congratulations! Looks like CSC is down to late December filers... I hope the rest of you guys who are still waiting for NOA2 will finally get approved! Good luck to you all!

What's a "police certificate"?

What's a "long form birth certificate"?

And, if I need them, how do I get them?

There's no "IF". You need them. You will be turned away at your interview without them.

Your long form birth certificate can be gotten at your registrar at home. It's the official record of your birth.

Your police certificate can be ordered by downloading a form, filling it out, sending it with ID and 10 quid.

Google the info. My browser is too slow this morning for me to look up the links.

You are now at a point where things will move much faster. You may actually slow down your case by trying to stay in Mexico. Most VJ members would have already had these documents in their possession at this point - sorry to say.

Congratulations to you both ! May God see you peacefully through the rest of your journey.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
