I-129 F Questions - International Marriage Broker (IMB)

So I put "NO" on the I-129F form because I met my Fiancee on the website InterPals.com which is like a place to make friends internationally. It also was a random meeting as well. Also the website doesn't seem to be like any of the types listed in the IMB. So do I still need to write this letter and get I guess some IMB form?

My other question is that if one of my forms expires this Feburary 2016 (this year) (addfit of support 134) would it still be okay to file everything this during the month of January or would this cause problems?

Many Thanks

There are a lot of posts about IMB's that you can search on this site.

The easiest way to figure out if your site is an IMB is to ask if they charge the same amount for all members regardless of the country they are in. If they do or it's a free site, then you are golden.

I am assuming you are looking at the expiration date on the affidavit of support in the upper left corner? if so, don't worry about it. You are good.

Good luck on your journey.

You can also look at the terms of service on the website. Most will say whether or not they are an IMB. You can print that out and send it with your petition as proof that it is not an IMB.
