Boiler, stated "likely" because the fact that CA is processing within 3 months doesn't mean same situation will continue. For a while, Philippines' applicants have being getting automatic expedite. Well, that could change.

TSC sometimes transfers more cases to CA so anything is possible but if none of that happens then you are likely to get approved at the current rate.

And to your question,

No, you don't have to report that pregnancy to the embassy. It is only the CHILDBIRTH abroad that you should report.

The pregnancy will not help your case in anyway to make it go faster.

So chill and concentrate on what needs to be done first.

Good luck and congrats!

You do realize that NOA2 is not the end of the process. In addition to the medical she will need to complete the interview at the embassy. The Consular officer may ask about the pregnancy or not, they seem to have a lot of discretion. Your major hurdles after you receive the NOA2 from USCIS will be waiting for the package to be transferred to the National Visa Center. Then, after some time (varies,) they will forward it to the embassy. After the embassy receives it there will be an e-mail and possible snail mail package with instructions for scheduling an interview, paying the visa fee and completing the medical before the interview. Then, you get to wait for an available appointment. Could be days to weeks or maybe over a month. Once the interview is completed you might have to wait (or not, luck of the draw) for AP. Then they send the passport with the package to your fiancee.

My point is each of these steps will take an indeterminate amount of time. It took me three days of constant monitoring of the consular website to finally see an available appointment. It was two months away but I took it anyway. From NOA2 to NVC to Manila embassy was about 2 weeks.

I think you need to have a plan for handling the birth in the Philippines. When your fiancees visa is approved the 6 month timer starts. You would need to file the CRBA and prove to their satisfaction that the child is yours so a passport can be issued.

I think we had a pretty fast and mostly smooth trip through the system (see my timeline) but it still took about 7 months from NOA2 to arrival here in the states.

Just received our (NOA2) on January 28, 2016. My pregnant fiancee according to her doctor needs to fly by May 1st, 2016. This gives us three months, what are our chances now? Been told by other VJ members to wait until Monday February 8, 2016, then to start calling NVC to get case number. Been told not to wait for package to be sent to Manila Embassy or wait for Embassy to mail instructions?

What is our first steps after receiving the case number?

  • Pay K-1 application fee
  • Schedule Interview
  • then schedule medical

Is this correct order?

I guess our biggest hurdle is getting an interview time before April 15, 2016, this will allow her two weeks to receive the Visa after the interview.

I guess our biggest hurdle is getting an interview time before April 15, 2016, this will allow her two weeks to receive the Visa after the interview.

Next hurdle is how quick CSC will send out the documents to NVC. When we were at this stage, USCIS held on to them for a while. Not sure if they still do this. NVC processes them fast as soon as they get it.

For me it took 4 weeks from NOA2 to when they actually sent it out to NVC

1 week for NVC to get it

4 days for NVC to process and send it out

2 weeks for embassy to get the papers

- Once you get your MNL number from NVC, go ahead and pay the visa application fee and then schedule an interview.

- Don't schedule the interview too soon. Give time for the embassy to receive your files.

- Do the medical at least 5-7 days before your interview to give time for the medical records to reach the embassy. Medicals arent scheduled (it's first come, first served) but you can register online.

Please read Hank's guide and familiarize yourself. EVERYTHING you need to know is on it:

http://visaconnection-philippines.com/#

Do not wait for embassy instructions because there is a chance it will not come (I sure as hell didn't get mine). Everything can be found online. Here is the interview instructions. Gather everything you need now:

Thank you iammrsregie!

Are there any recent filer's who have already scheduled interview who can tell us how far out the Manila Embassy is booked out? Are we going to be able to book an appointment no later than a month out, or is it taking longer than a month for available appointments?

Also how long have current filer's been waiting for USCIS to forward approved I-129F's to NVC?

Thank you iammrsregie! You're welcome!

Are there any recent filer's who have already scheduled interview who can tell us how far out the Manila Embassy is booked out? Are we going to be able to book an appointment no later than a month out, or is it taking longer than a month for available appointments? cgifederal website says First Available Appointment is Feb. 5, 2016 so plenty more will open up. People cancel appointments all the time. Don't worry too much.

Also how long have current filer's been waiting for USCIS to forward approved I-129F's to NVC? Based on the timelines, seems its only taking between 10-20 days from USCIS to NVC.

I'm sure others (specifically current filers) can chime in :)

Thanks again iammrsregie!

What is the cgifederal website? Can I access the Manila interview appointment schedule there too, or do I need my MNL # first?

Is the MNL# the case number?

Its where you schedule your interview appointment after you get your MNL number and pay the fee. You can access it without paying yet but you will only see the next available appointment. Once you have your payment number, then you will get access to the actual calendar that shows all openings.

Yes, MNL is the case number that NVC will give you.

Out of curiosity, how do you access the calendar without paying, We are extremely close to the scheduling stage, and want to see the next available date, but don't have the MNL yet, or want to pay the fee just yet. When we navigate through cgifederal it doesn't display a calendar, it continually prompts for payment.

Just create a profile. It would only show the next available appointment though. The calendar will only be accessible when you put your payment info. This is a screenshot of what I see on my end. The next available appointment is on the lower left of the page.

Based on the threads I've read, it seems the China version of cgi which is CGi Stanley has a lot of system issues and they book appointments really fast. Others who went through this said you have to keep trying. I'm confused though, why would you get an MNL if you are interviewing in China? This thread is helpful, I think:

We have a GUZ not an MNL, MNL is just the Manila prefix, China has GUZ for Guangzhou
