Oh yes! That range is crazy. Some days it will be early April to mid March and then other dayslate March to early June <_<

I'm praying I don't get an RFE or a I 130 interview. My lawyer said I might, because we sent the petition out right after we got married (we've been together for 5 years, so it just made sense to send it then). I believe we sent strong evidence that paints a strong picture, so hopefully we'll get approved soon!

Yes, well it seems to me a lot of people on VJ submitted right after getting married. I guess the most important thing is to have evidence enough to show that you have a real marriage and there's no way they could say you got married just to get into the US.

So even the new evidence you have since you have been married is important for the interview. Proof of ongoing marriage relationship, is the term I've heard.

Well for my wife and I it'll be a little over 2 years that we've been married by the time of the interview, so I hope we avoided the possibility of an RFE, plus we get the IR1, which gives her a 10 year GC when she gets to the US.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

DS-261 - 05/14/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

For us, it only made sense to file ASAP. Why wait even more time?

I can't wait until this process is over. I went to Cirque Du Soleil last night and of course we took pictures, but in the back of my head I'm filing it away as something we could use to prove our ongoing marriage relationship. I'm tired of thinking like that lol

I'm sure you guys will avoid the RFE. 2 years by the time you get the interview and with ongoing evidence, shows a healthy, bona fide relationship (at least to me :))

That is so true...and having gone through the K-1 process in 2010/2011, I have a lot of stuff saved up! "Oh look, this has BOTH our names on it! Give me that to put in the immigration envelope!" Guess how thick THAT envelope is...it's defying the laws of gravity at this point.

Met: December 2009

Married: April 2015

Received CR-1 visa: February 2017

POE (as IR-1): April 2017

Oath ceremony: November 2020

Hi JlovesA, yes it's funny how that evidence gather stuff, weighs on our minds especiially after being through working on the K-1 before. I was also doing the K-1 in 2011 and think I may have seen your username before. I have tons of documents saved up also, literally in boxes.

Unfortunately it won't be over even after getting to the US for the CR1, non DCF folks. In the US you need to gather evidence to get you SSN, work authorization and 2 year GC, etc. All for the Removal Of Conditions phase.

Its been quite a long road for people like you and I who've had some crazy issues that we've had to deal with. But we're going to get to that promised land this time! :)

Processing time updated on uscis site..

But that's USCISs canned answer. If you file around now you might expect to be approved by September 2, 2015.!

First of all USCIS this is 2016 :D They're giving you their average expectation of 5+ months.

Well, what that means is that they're currently processing I-130's dated from September 2, 2015 (or so they say). Other service centers say (explicitly) 5 months for the I-130.

Yes I just called USCIS and they told the same date. I told him that I saw on Visa journey that ppl with late October dates have started getting approved. He said that the September date means That Nebraska have completed every case that had a date before September 2.
