I am thinking that when they send the package from the embassy if we have everything already done and ready (police reports, medical, vaccinations etc.) that would speed up the process a little bit as it would be one less thing to gather.. I messaged one forum member who got hers (K-1) in 70 days total and she said she would have been able to shave even a couple more days off if she hadn't been "travelling". You can see her on the timeline..

The Medical is just about the last thing that is a major thing as soon India comes back with the PCC on Monday..

And yes, I know that we need the NOA2 and... and... and... but I am an optimist and things usually work or really well for me

Don't do the medical too soon as the visa expires 6 months from date of medical exam

also, some police reports are only good for 3 months

wait until you know these are needed and packet is sent to embassy for interview

then do ASAP

I would check to see if you need the NVC case # for the medical. I know you do in the few embassies I have looked at. If that's the case, then it really doesn't save that much time since the case number usually comes 2 weeks or more after the NOA-2 and then your case is right away sent to the foreign embassy which sends you the packet when it arrives. At least that's the standard for most counties.

And just saying, 70 days is a pretty unrealistic goal. Don't be disappointed if it takes a bit longer..

In Mumbai, I wasn't allowed to do the medical unless I showed the letter from the Mumbai Consulate that my case has been received and is ready for appointment. Not sure what your consulate will be like, but I think it might be similar. The medical only takes a few hours and you get the result the next day, so it's not much time and I don't think it's worth doing in advance. Also, it will reduce the validity of your visa since the visa is valid for 6 months from the medical date and not the interview date.
