Wish my fiance was from Haiti. :) I dont understand why or how but it seems like Haiti 1-29f applicants have been getting NOA2 very quickly.

Hopefully the rest of us will start seeing NOA2s soon.

Yes, having a fiance in Haiti has definitely worked in my favor. I realize that now.

LOL.

Please believe me when I say I was merely kidding. No offense intended at all.

Just trying to make light of all the waiting and stress we are going through.

I have noticed that too, that is why I agreed, perhaps it's a conincidence or could be the result of a policy change. No offense taken. At all.

I'm just as anxious as everybody else to receive a noa2, but what can I be doing in the mean time? Is it too early to be gathering my financial information ( to be honest, I'm not sure what all financial papers I need). I plan on going to see my fiance mid january, to pay a visit as well as give him his copy of the packet I sent in. I just want to keep myself busy, and be as prepared as possible. Any advice is welcome!

I sent everything that my fiance will need from me, financial documents, I-134, etc only a couple days after sending my I-129f packet. This way as soon as I get NOA2 I can email this to her, she can print it, then get her police clearance and mail off packet 3. YMMV depending on country.

First thing first. If you haven't visited the embassy website that he will be processing through to gain knowledge about the process that your facing, this would be a good time to research that while waiting. Once you know the process, your also going to know what documents are needed.

Since I don't know what country he is processing through (you haven't quite finished your profile.... see the flags under our pictures/icons....that's what they are for.... to inform others where you are processing through and you can get those by completing your profile... If I for one can see the flag, I then know what country your processing through and I may have the answer to your question or I might be able to search for the answer but if it is not there, I am not going to go digging for it.... sorry I sometimes don't sugar coat my answers very well). I can't comment on what is needed exactly for the reasons I just stated. You have tax forms (IRS 1040 or better yet tax transcripts which take time to get but are the most accurate and trustworthy document that the CO prefers to use to ascertain the financial picture of your relationship), W2 and employer letters. How about background checks for his country. Has he lived outside his country for six months or more in another country? If yes he needs a police clearance and they can take up to 2-3 months to get. How about any forms that need to be submitted for documents that attest to his singleness... that he is not married. Those can be gathered for the interview if required by the Embassy (most do).

Those are just a few. Again, you need to become familiar with all that is required and that information is contained within your processing Embassy's website. Each of us will face different requirements with different names and different documents (each Embassy can be different and most are) to get to the same outcome.... a bonified VISA.

After researching, please ask any question you may have and someone here will attempt to help. Lot's of great people here traveling on the same road as you. I think that this has been the best group of all the months I have had the pleasure to comment in, and here people are going out of there way to help. Even you have helped others with your knowledge. It's an honor for me to be here with you all and experience your successes.

I think I recall he is from the Dominican Republic. If so here is the website for the K1 process if you do not have it.

When you get the NOA2 approval and your case number, things can move fast but it's up to you. If I can help in any way, please let me know.

1. I-129-F to Embassy has been a very concise travel. I am beginning to believe in the process in place to assist us in going forward with our loved one.

2. We are in process of my fiancé returning paperwork to the Embassy. Best of outcomes to everyone.

3. Concerning knowledge of when our progress is posted to the USCIS website: I believe it is event driven, meaning when they have performed an action on

our behalf, it will register an event.

Diligence and patience.

I know 99.9% of us are still waiting on NOA2, but I am curious if front loading the packet will cause any delays in the processing of the initial packet.

Thanks,

What exactly is "front loading" the packet?

Front loading means sending evidence of a true relationship along with your I-129f packet (pictures, plane tickets, etc). Stuff that most countries dont need until the interview but for some that are at high risk of visa fraud it is almost necessary.
