At what point should I worry?

Knowing how quickly VSC often moves and seeing the number of NOA2s for February filers, at what point should I start to worry and think about calling USCIS to find out something? I know it's still early yet, but I haven't even had a touch yet.

I know, and I'm sorry about that. But if March ends and still nothing, is that enough time to start asking questions? Or would I need to wait longer?

They probably won't deal with you for a while, but it appears the best way to get help is to contact your congressman if there is a legitimate problem. My advice: go to Jamaica for a while and relax. The time will fly by, and you'll be approved before you know it.

What I've seen is that the time between NOA1 and NOA2 is about 2-4 months. Based on your timeline, you still have between 1-3 months wait.

The time to check with them to see what happened is when they claim their "currently processing" date is 30 days after the date you filed. That's when you're officially overdue. They may speed up and/or slow down quite a bit, so it's hard to say exactly when that event will happen. Probably never, because you'll probably have NOA2 or an RFE before that time.

If you try and check with them before that event, they'll just tell you what the current processing dates are, and you can get that info from the "Processing Times" link at the top of every VJ page.

Yes, it's frustrating, and I know it's impossible to relax, but try to relax, anyway.

Oh, and don't get hung up on whether or not your case has been "touched". It happens to some and not to others, with no apparent rhyme or reason.

How do you trach your case number so quickly? I, too, sent a check, but I don't receive the photostat of my checks until 6 weeks later with my bank statement. Also, I never see the back of the check on this statement. (Where I believe the case number is posted)

I have 3 touches total . here is what I guess.

1st touch= put my package on the table

2nd touch= look at at throughly .

3rd touch= glue it to the ceiling .

I gotcha...but my concern is that there have already been a couple of approvals for those that filed way after me, yet I've not heard anything.

Being patient I can generally do, but then there's the worry that something is wrong when mid to late Feb filers are already getting approvals.

One feb filer - just one. And until they have the hard copy in hand, we're not even sure it's real yet. I hope for the best for them, but we should leap at that as the new standard processing time for anyone - even other VTers.

I use National City and they put the image of the check online (front and back) I dont get anything in the mail unless I request it. My NOA1 came around 10 days after I mailed it though, so I only waited a few days from the time the check was cashed till I got the NOA1
