Husband received his Social Security Card in the mail the other day, came pretty fast! Now just waiting for the actual Green Card! Things are coming together. :) I hope all our June peeps are moving in the right direction.

And GoBucks! you are right, see you all in a few months for our ROC! haha and it starts all over again.

Congrats on the approvals!

POE'd at LAX on the 8th of April. Arrived in Indiana and to our surprise it was snowing! We finally celebrated our one year anniversary on the next day!

To those who are still waiting for their interviews all the best and it'll be over before you know it :)

We received our SSNS approx about a week after we POE'd. Gotten the insurance taken care of - thank goodness. Now, sooo NOT looking forward to ROC.

Hi there guys, just a quick question about the USCIS immigrant fee. When paying the $165.00 for the immigrant fee, can I use my credit/debit card in South Africa? Or do I have to use an American bank account like when we payed AOS and IV bills.

July 28th 2015 - received NOA1 (hard copy)

Sep 22nd 2015 - received email of RFE

Nov 16th 2015 - received at NVC

Dec 08th 2015 - received case # and IIN #

Dec 09th 2015 - paid AOS bill

Jan 04th 2016 - sent AOS & IV documents

Jan 06th 2016 - paid IV bill

Jan 08th 2016 - completed DS-260

Jan 06th 2016 - received scan date

Feb 17th 2016 - received 2nd scan date

Mar 18th 2016 - case complete

Mar 28th 2016 - Interview Date Scheduled "May 10th"

Sorry if these questions have been answered (please point me in the right direction if it has:) ), but I have a few questions.. My husband has his interview with the London embassy on May 11 (woohoo!!) and i want to be sure we are prepared. For the affidavit of support (I-864EZ) does he have to present one with my signature on it? The original one (with my signature) was mailed to the NVC, but I did print out another one, signed it and sent it with him just in case. I also sent him another I-864EZ that was updated with my 2015 income. I guess my question is, which one should he give the embassy? The signed original one or the signed updated one? Does he also have to have my 2015 tax transcripts? I gave him my 2015 W2, 2015 W1040, recent paycheck stubs (past 6 months) and employment verification letter from my boss. I hope that is enough :/

Another question I had was how do I find out more information about my husband being issued an IR1 instead of a CR1? Our 2 year anniversary is October 11 and I'm thinking about postponing his POE date to after our 2 year anniversary if it means he can be issued an IR1. Do I have to submit additional forms? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for any help or guidance:)

That's awesome GoBucks! 5 days ago was 1 month of POE for my husband. It's weird I received an email 2 days ago saying "case was sent to the Department of State for Visa Processing". No idea what that is for or about. Called NVC and they said not to worry, that the system automatically sends out messages and apologized. But we are not going to feel 100% good until his green card arrives, hopefully any day! :)

My husband (the petitioner) received an e-mail from NVC stating that the National Visa Center (NVC) received all the requested documentation and is now waiting for the US embassy in my country to schedule an appointment for my interview. Is this considered case closed on NVC's side? I'm wondering how long before I receive my interview date. This process has been painstakingly slow, im sure everyone agrees. lol

Thanks everyone <3

Yeah, they should be scheduling it around now if I remember correctly. You can call NVC with your case number in a few days and see if they have scheduled it as well as asking what time frame they are scheduling for currently.
