Do I need a cover letter for the check?

Hey, everyone!

My fiance and I are wondering if we need a cover letter for the check. We watched a video on youtube of a petitioner who wrote a cover letter but we can't see the content cause of the low quality of the video.

Is there a sample we can find somewhere or simply attach the check without any cover letter next to it? thank you!

Thank you, Ash.1101, but I was referring to the check with the payment itself. Does THAT require a cover letter to itself stating "this is the check with the payment of the fee etc etc etc"? Thanks

Oh lord no. Just write "For I-129F petition fee" in the memo line on the check.

You don't need to clarify what the check is for since there is only one thing in the package, which is the I-129F and it's requirements, the check being one of the requirements.

I just paper clipped the check to the cover letter. No separate cover letter is needed to announce the payment.

Not needed but certainly doesn't hurt to make things crystal clear. I try to ensure that there is a cover letter in each individual mailing that I send out.

No. Just like the example posted, you only use one cover letter that lists everything that you included, including the check.
