My fiancé received his visa last week and booked a flight next Monday thinking he's good to go.

I didn't know that he had to attend a seminar before he leaves so when we checked http://cfo.gov.ph, he had to make an appointment but there wasn't any slots available for the day of his flight on both Manila and Cebu's location. Did anyone had that experience?

Is there any way that they would take him in even though it says on their website that they don't take walk-ins anymore?

We're really running out of options. Rebooking the flight is expensive plus with the wedding plans and everything else would hurt to move everything to a different date.

Anyone have any idea?

Hi!

I think you should contact the CFO Office http://cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2913&Itemid=842 to discuss your situation maybe they can give exception or better if your Fiancé go directly to the CFO office so she can provide proof of her scheduled flight.

Regards

We tried. We can't get a hold of anyone in Manila since their office is closed because of the APEC Summit.

We also tried emailing both offices and no one's responding either.

We're losing hope since there seems to be no other way.

Keep trying as you will not leave the country until you have your sticker from CFO in the passport.

I'm sorry you missed that bit of information but more so I am surprised as it is listed in the Embassy letter and is always discussed here in VJ. It is a MAJOR requirement for leaving the country.

Looks like you are caught between an airline flight and a CFO HardSpot! Depending on the cost to change/upgrade the airline ticket and your wallet..., you have nothing to lose by showing up at the CFO seminar place and offering to pay the "Express Line" fee(s)... As you should know the entire country is corrupt and depends/bows to the almighty peso/$.

Best of luck!

I reached cfo manila yesterday calling their office landline - they can't accept walk in and November is fully booked no slot available until December 8 but in cfo cebu they have slot during apec week the problem is if you will be coming from manila there's no flight going to cebu. We are at the same page getting GCP apoinment - so what I did I took the slot of November 23 at CFO CEBU will just have flight going there... try to check and get APPOINMENT by midnight or later in the evening there will be a slot open like what I did - I took a slot on Nov 26 around 1am I checked there's a slot for Nov 23 that's why I changed my APPOINMENT and took the earliest.. I hope you can find other way best of luck ;)

thanks everyone!

we kept trying to check the slots if there's a chance that an earlier slot will open up but we had no luck so we decided to just keep it the way it is.

it cost us a lot of money to rebook the flight and all the other expenses.

What do you mean? Does that mean you will pay the "fee" and so that he can come on the original flight?
