Hi guys,

Just to update... We received our interview date for December 18, 2015. Rebecca got her medical scheduled for December 14. We are now trying to figure everything out for the interview and put everything together! Could anyone elaborate on picking your visa up the next day after the interview? I read where you might have that option vs using the courier service. We would like to do that, but I'm not sure if we still need to fill out the courier information or not. Any thoughts?

My husband had his medical yesterday. Today we once again go over everything he's taking to the interview to make sure it's all in order.....Tomorrow is the interview after 436 days of waiting. I would deeply appreciate the prayers of anyone here who's willing to pray for others.

Thank you! :-)

Time seems to go slow, but then all of a sudden the day arrives. The wait really is so miserable though. It's like life is in a strange limbo as the days pass. If you're like me, no matter what you're doing, ALL day the upcoming interview is right there on your mind and feels like a weight.

Since filling in the courier stuff is part of the "registering your appointment" process, I would think it's prudent to do it.

If it were me I would ask by email if it's possible to wait and pick it up the next day, but I think they don't like to give any kind of guarantee that it will be ready overnight. The other part is that the interview is on a Friday so even if they do the visa the next business day, that won't be until Monday...still, it can't hurt to ask.

I will say hello if I see you guys in the lineup/waiting room, I'm the same day :)

omg...so true...it's my husband's interview and I am so worried..on the other hand, my husband is calm/relaxed...how I wish I could do the same...he keeps asking me to relax and stay calm but I can't...so close to being together, I just don't want anything to go wrong...I want to be positive but all the horror stories on VJ are scaring me ....can't wait for it to be over and be with my husband again....Please keep us in your prayers...Hope all this will end soon for all of us and we'll together with our spouses soon.

I stopped reading the horror stories recently. I was actually looking for them in VJ to learn what all can go wrong, but it was making me focus on the negative and it was scary! Now I avoid them!

You're in my prayers right now SeemaMayank. Prayers with faith move mountains. I've seen it happen to much to not believe it.

Hey guys just giving you an update about my interview on October 20th. I was given "the blue form" explaining that my visa was rejected. The lady interviewing me (who was very ubrupt, didn't smile much and kept reminding me I was under oath because I kept starting my sentences which 'erm, I think') explained it was because my birth certificate wasn't the original from birth (it was issued a few years after). She explained that I need two affidavits explaining I was the child of my parents. I also had 'no live trace' on my police certificate and I didn't have a SAR certificate! (Anyone wouldda though I wasn't prepared). However, she explained that I didn't need an SAR (I applied for one anyways the same day I got back home from the interview just in case and it's still not back yet) and that they would carry their own background check and I should just bring the two affidavits. I sent that off on the 11th of this month and by yesterday evening the status changed from administrative processing to ISSUED!!!! I'm so excited and I'm hoping it comes by thanksgiving so me and hubby can spend it together with his family. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to contact you about picking it up from courier office in London? Many thanks and Good luck!!!!!

Good Luck :)

Early in the process it's good to investigate into all the different stories and learn everything you can, then once you're getting closer to the interview it really is better to not read them anymore, and if something does go wrong. rush to VJ and post what happened and ask for advise.

My husband and I just had our last conversation before the interview. We went over everything one last time that he's taking to the interview. When we said good-night, I almost cried. It's just nerves! My youngest daughter isn't well and we desperately need him here with us. I know I won't sleep at all tonight and I'm not even going to try. .
