No news on our expedite request though, not even an interview schedule! ?hopefully we'll hear something this week!!

They tend to take at least a month to let you know. Geesh, how awful it would be if it were a life or death situation! One month would be beyond too late, especially since that's just to finally agree and set an appointment date.

Well, it's a good thing that my mother-in-law is a fighter. Thanks God, she is finally out of the ICU. The road may be too long, but she is on her way to recovery, with a lot of physical therapy involved. Edited by Palangga

Sorry I'm so late, I have been extremely busy and haven't been online. I had my interview on November 5th. Our interview went pretty well, the CO asked the basic questions like, when did we get married, where do I work, my job title, at the end of all the questions she said Congratulations, but tell your wife to send a new AOS and my tax returns, and a joint sponsor, and his international passport. I was so confused about that because I really thought all my finances were in order, and NVC didn't say anything was wrong. Anyway, I quickly gathered all the documents needed and sent it off. He will drop everything off tomorrow. Hopefully this will be over soon.

Happy to hear the interview went well.

Some of the requests seem a bit odd though to me.

Thank you! I'll have my husband get those photos.

My husband told me someone said he's going to pay a fee for the interview (something like $250), not just the $165 green card fee. I've seen nothing anywhere about paying a fee for the interview. Am I missing something???

That's for K1's No IR1/CR1 pay any fees after NV but the $165 after approval online.

OK all...hubby got home and we had a chance to talk about the Interview. Hubby and daughter arrived at the consulate around 9:20 for his 9:30 Interview. He went inside and got his number. A female CO was nice enough to see him with a sleeping5 year old, ask him what number he had and clearly helped to move him up in queue. He went to the first window where he spent about 5 minutes handing over original birth cert for his daughter, police certificate and passports. He was told to sit down and listen for his name. He was called not too long after than to a different window where he was shown a pic of me (the passport sized pot that was sent in the with G-325A) and asked if that was his wife. He said YES and the interview began...She said "tell me about your wife"

1. When and how did you meet your wife?

2. How old were you?

3. How old is your wife's daughter and what is her name?

4. How old is your daughter? (the CO found it cute that both our girls are 5)

5. Has your wife ever been married? (she insisted yes even though the answer is no, but when he held firm on the no she reviewed the paperwork and apologized to him)

6. Have you ever travelled outside the country? she asked about trips he took to England as well as his many trips to the US and asked if he had ever overstayed on any of the trips.

7. Did you get married on your last trip to the US?

8. What happened to the relationship between you and your daughters mother?

He says the interview was more of a conversation rather than a Q&A session. He says both COs were pleasant and nice. She told him he would received his passport in 2 weeks.. She did not ask for any of the evidence he brought in. He spent less than 2 hours in the embassy.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you?
