Hello All! please what does it mean for a case to be escalated. Hubby spoke to a rep today and was told our case has been escalated.

Hi Nkkystel, I know I can see how painful this supervisor review is as everyone mentioned all the experiences and suggestions and all I can say is when you call NVC between 10:00am - 12:00Pm EST and some times representatives are really harsh so better keep quit and call again dont worry you can call NVC any number of times and never agree to the thing that if CR says I will put a note to the supervisor that means all they do is re-initiate the supervisor request and if they re-initiate the request you clock will go back to one and wait for 42 days so when you call dont let them do that and always ask for the supervisor.

trust me one day I called 3 times and still no hope and could not get hold of supervisor and the next day when I called after 2 times I got hold of the supervisor so dont give up.

If you have only the DS-260 pending then the supervisor can review with in Minutes or else if there is any document that needs to be reviewed it takes little bit time that they need to get the physical file.

I would call again to verify but agree with the previous poster about what "escalated" means. For me, it meant I was on "supervisor review" and had the pleasure of waiting an additional 42 days. I had checklist documents that were scanned on 8/18 & 8/28. By 9/28 they hadn't been reviewed and I called, emailed and did everything short of smoke signals to complain about it. And then was told on 10/6 that my case had been "escalated" to a supervisor. Generally speaking, I'd say that's what it means but call back to verify as EVERY operator says something slightly different. Sorry you are running into this.

Thanks marleym!

I can understand what you are going through right now. Thing is instead of talking to CSR always ask for a supervisor because those are the ones who can guide you better than a typical CSR. The normal reps will tell u to wait thats it. So keep trying to get a hold of some supervisor. Hope for the best.

Ours got roll over for another 42 days. Seldom we can get a Rep that will pass you along to a Supervisor. We have tried couple of times but no luck. I experience the Rep just mute the phone for a second, and said no Supervisor.
