K1 visa requirements/ questions

Hi,

Can anyone, please confirm the following requirements we have to send to USCIS? Please see below:

1. FORM G-1145
2. Payment in the amount of $340.00
3. I-129F
4. I-129F Supplement: Part 2, Question 34.a, (explanation of meeting in person)
5. G-325A and passport style photo (Petitioner)
6. G-325A and passport style photo (Beneficiary)
7. FORM I-134 - Does my fiancé must send this form to USCIS or this form will be later during consulate interview to me? Also, we are confused in question 11 in this form what we should tick mark, INTEND or DO NOT INTEND. Please clarify.
8. Copy of Petitioner’s Passport, Birth Certificate
9. Copy of Beneficiary’s Previously Passport, Renewed Passport, Birth Certificate
10. Letter certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
11. Proof of having met in person in the past two years
12. Proof of ongoing relationship

You do not need no 7 and no 9. And the petitioners birth certificate is enough.

Just so you know you say you will tell you parents after the wedding but what will you say when you leave for the us before the wedding and not will be able to return for awhile do to paperwork has to be done first?

I am currently working in abroad and my family do not live here. My plan is to complete all the documents required for K1 visa and once it's approved, I will go to US and get married before 90 days of my stay there then I will call my family to inform them that I am already married. But I know it’s unfair to them to know it late, my fiance and I just didn't want to be complicated our wedding plans. Then we are planning to get married also in my country therefore my family can attend.

Thanks for your response. Another question is, no. 7 should be only submitted during my interview at the US Consulate right? Also, do I need to ask my friends to make a statement of our bona fide relationship as a proof that our relationship is genuine?

You are correct your I-134 only needs to be submitted while at the interview. Make sure the petitioner provides you with proof such as 2014/2015 tax transcript, employer letter, and/or recent paystubs/w-2.

You may not need to ask your friends to make a statement for you, but if you are from a country that it is recommended you front load your packet with a lot of evidence, then I would send in the statements. I would make sure to use wording similar to the Affidavits that are required at the Removal of Conditions stage since they seem to be the most clear and concise.

No judgement at all you and your soon to be husband do what you think is best. I was just curious
