Hi everyone, My fiancee had his interview today in Dakar and he was given a 221g with two things underlined. The co asked him all the basic questions such as where did we meet and when did I visit him. He said the co took all the docs from him along with the pictures and only gave him his passport and the 221g. He was told they need to review and need more documents. However they did not say what documents, but told him they would call him. Oh the co asked for his phone number again and where is he living in Gambia. My fiance did his medical but the dr didnt give him anything to take to the embassy, they told him that the process changed and that the embassy would give him a paper to bring if they needed the medical. The co also told him that the medical was not needed at this time. That confused me. Also this is my second time filing for a k1 and his second time being applied for. I applied for my ex in 2009 and we separated in March of 2014, but the divorce was final in June of 2014. I met my fiance in july of 2014 and visited him in Feb of 2015 for two weeks. I am 6 years older than he is, so I dont think age is a factor on this petition. He will upload a copy to me tomorrow when he returns to Gambia and I can get a better idea of what is going on. Right now the CEAC says Administrative Processing. How can I get more information on what documents that are needed and what the review is about? Oh the k1 his ex did on him did not get completed as he didnt attend the interview because they broke up. His relationship with her started in 2011 and ended in 2012 and the co asked him about her and how many times I was married.

Did you frontload the petition with relationship evidence?

Did he show ongoing relationship evidence at the interview?

I'm not sure why they wouldn't need the medical. It's also not usually a good sign when they return the passport.

I sent imo pics, chats and emails as well as whatsapp and viber. I sent more phone records and many more pics. Oh it was only one visit because the cost is too much and I couldnt leave my school age children too long.

You won't know what is needed if anything until they contact your finance. There's nothing you can do but wait.

By chance did your ex get citizenship since it was 3 years. That maybe one of the things checked out.

Okay that's a red flag but not horrible. Especially with this your send petition and you said this is your fiances 2nd petition. So they probably checking all that out.

Emailing them will tell you what you already know you are in AP and they are looking into it and they will contact beneficiary when they need to.

They are reviewing your red flag of only a months between your divorce and meeting your new fiance as well as his previous petition.

Short gaps between relationships ended and new ones beginning can be viewed as a fraud indicator. Prepare for a lengthy AP if they didn't want

the medical yet.

No one will know how long your AP lasts, everyone is different but as I said Dakar can leave one in AP for a year+.

If I were you I would get another visit in which is good face time evidence.

You could try to contact the consulate while there to drop off more evidence if they allow it (ours did, many do not).

One of two 2 things will happen:

1. He is called for a second interview (you should be on the premises for it.)

2. Your petition gets returned to USCIS and that is the end of that, you would have to re file.

K1's do not get reviewed at USCIS, they are purposely expired even though you will be made to believe it will be reviewed.

Choose wisely on what matters the most to you.

Redflag ..quick and short time between marriages, also meeting once ...very suspicious

they will be checking out also this relationship.....!st hubby got naturalized & this marriage

occurred quickly, making sure this is not planned opr aid for.

Well I got a response from the embassy, however still no clue as to the reason we were placed on AP. Yes I know about the red flags and all, but still very disheartening to be in limbo with no reason why. I feel lost because if I had a clue as to something I could work towards fixing it, but as it stands right now I am just completely heart broken. Here is what the email said: Greetings,

Thank you for your email. At this point, there is no need for another interview or any other documents. The consular officer will review the case accordingly. Once, it is complete, Mr. Obilom will be contacted.

I have contacted my senator to see if he can get a better understanding and yes I know I have to wait.

They will not tell you or the senator what they are checking during AP. At this point all you can do is wait. Dakar does a lot of long AP,

visit him again.

Well the embassy called Iffy today and asked him to bring his passport and original birth certificate on a Tuesday or Thursday. However they called him back, but the network was bad and he didnt hear what was said, could it be they changed their mind again? I plan to call in the morning to see if I can get some answers to what the second call was for. I did see an update on the ceac website so maybe its a good thing. I truly pray so.

What does your update / status say ? Did you get a response per email or call ?

The date changed and they called him. The ap is still there, only the date changed. I plan to call Monday to try and get more information from someone.
