"What to send to your fiance once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). Your fiance should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well).

2. Send copies of the documentary proof that you submitted with the I-129F for your fiance to have on hand for their interview at the embassy. Your fiance should review this information in advance of the interview (the embassy will have copies of this as well)."

Now, I am planning to print the scans I made of all receipts (from our vacation, or be mailing things to her) to send to wherever I am supposed to in Texas, and send the originals to her (since I have scans as my copies). Am I supposed to be sending the original receipts to Texas instead?

"3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F)."

So another Intent to Marry? Change the date, print, and sign? Sounds like there is a catch...

"5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)"

With A, I got a problem. My account with them opened only for a year since the previous bank stole money from me. So, I had to transfer. Lots of the deposits were from emptying my 401k account to survive. Will I need to empty it more to show I have a high balance in there at the time to do all this? Since my layoff, been hard and only now as a contractor making, eh, not a living wage. Is any of this going to be a problem? #######, are they going to spy on my postings and see all this????

With B, my employers know nothing of her or my plans. I am a contractor (temp) because no one wants to hire permanent positions. My life is secret from them. I can provide W2s and stubs (have to print them).

Thanks.

Send your copy of the I-129f package to your alien fiancé with originals (birth certificate other ones as applicable (divorce decree); proof of meeting in person; just an updated letter of intent to marry within 90 days of their arrival into US with current date. As far as the financial part- you need to show that you can currently support your loved one and all other dependents on both sides. Your W2's; Income Tax forms; current paystubs; & a letter from employer to show this. Your employer should not have to know or write any details of what the letter is for. The bank statements would show that you have had consistent income over the last year especially since your employment is temporary.

Hope that helps.

Send in copies, take the originals to the interview for comparison by the consulate officer.

You don't need to tell your employer anything about your private life.

I simply requested a letter of employment verification. I told HR I just needed a letter verifying my job title, length of employment, and wage. I didn't tell them why and they didn't ask. It was address to "whom it may concern".

Pit, yea, I keep forgetting about everything being copies (unless specified) including receipts. No matter one, I keep thinking I have to send them the originals no matter how many times I read it.

So the only originals I send them are signed forms and pictures. Everything else on my part is a copy or printout. My fiancee will get a new set of pictures (for her scrapbook), a newly signed intent (from another post), the original receipts then, and copies of anything else. The only original thing I have people will not get then is my divorcee letter and birth certificate.

For the job though, my HR is another state, being I am a contractor. I have no idea what they will state, but will being a contractor (been in same company for 1.5 years so far) show I am just a lowly temp, or I will be seen just as expendable as a normal employee?

Thanks.

The employer letter is to support your current income claim. Position, length of employment, hourly/weekly/monthly pay rate, etc.

The bank statements / bank letter really isn't needed unless you are using savings / deposits as assets to make up an income shortfall.

My problems are that I am a contractor. A temp with no insurance that this president bills me $1000 per year in taxes for because my choice costs. My length of employment is at their digression. I am just a temp. I have looked for real work for four years. It is like the government does not care about love, just money in their eyes. My HR will probably state I am only 3-6 months, sometimes with renewal.

I have had to empty my entire 401k to survive for years. All gone. All I got is teenage wage income. Even though it is above poverty level, it is not a living wage. I got nothing for school loans to pay them back.

You keep the originals, send copies.

Nope same as before, just new date and original signature.

"5. You will need several items (for the above form). Gather duplicate evidence of income and resources as appropriate:

(A) Statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance

Not needed if your current income is sufficient.

(B) Statement(s) from your employer on business stationary showing: 1. Date and nature of employment; 2. salary paid; 3. whether position is temporary or permanent (also include copies of your last two pay stubs and your previous W-2 for the associated employer if available)"

They know more about you than you do!

Not enough. Copies of the entire tax return or the free IRS tax transcripts......but you NEED to show proof of current income. Pay summaries will work. Don't need employer letter if you don't want to get it.

I had a question about the bank statements, does it have to be both checking and savings account?

In my case, I have direct deposits from my job into my checking account, can I just get a letter verifying information on this one account? Do I need to include my saving accounts, and my accounts from other banks?
