Thank you very much for your response.

From the timelines on here, we noticed that most people get the packet 3 (K1 instructions) email within a day or two of the consulate receiving the case from NVC. After a few days, no email from the consulate. We sent them a mail ( asking them to clarify what the next step in the process is. In their response, they said they already mailed the instructions to ####@####.com for our case, and directed us to a copy of the K1 instructions on the website. We didn't recognize the email they listed in their response at all. But the case number and everything else was correct.

FYI, when you submit a mail to them, they state that they will reply within 5 business days. They took the full 5 business days to respond.

Good morning guys,

The interview shcedule website for Ankara is fully upgraded. I had to register again in order to sign into it.

But looks like there are still no appointments available. How is your experience with the upgraded website?

It supports mobile now which is big for me and my partner.

  • 2 weeks later...
Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Colombia

I am having a really hard time trying to schedule an appointment for my K1 Visa.

I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks now and still says "Not Appointments Available" I do not know what to do, I am being patient, but everyday I check the website and keeps in the same status. I sent emails, I made too many calls and still without any help :(

How long else should I have to wait?

Does anyone know why is this happening? Please let me know guys if anything change or see new appointments available. I will really appreciate it! :)

Blessings,

Johanna

Johanna,

We went through the same process. The embassy received our package on September 4 and we tried every hour on the hour to schedule an appointment. It wasn't until September 14 that I logged on at 4pm and saw appointments available for October. They ranged from October 2 (which is what we chose) to October 22.

I as well sent emails to the embassy and they JUST replied to me yesterday, so don't waste your time there.

On what day did the embassy receive your package from NVC?

Let me know if you need anything else. If you prefer to PM me, thats welcome as well!

Cody

Hola Cody,

The NVC received my case in September 16. Yesterday I got a chance to have an appointment, I tool me 10 minutes and suddenly it was closed again. As you said, it was around 4 pm I also checked at 3 am and they were appointments available. My phone shutted down and couldn't make the payment. Hopefully today I have another chance and I will not let it go again.

Thank you for your information. It really helps a lot! That gives me hope. Haha

You take care of yourself, please.

Maybe I'll see you at the embassy if I arrange my appointment for those days and of course if I get lucky this afternoon.

Johanna :)

It will be alright! Just be patient and remember to try at 4pm or later in the wee sleepy times. Around 3am. I finally got my interview for October 16th! I hope to have good luck.
