Mate in the state of MASS we are very blessed to have a Department of State (Passport Agency Office)

The Boston Passport Agency office is 12 minutes walk on foot from Fenuil Hall (Located at TD Garden)

I booked an appointment with the Department of State on the phone same day as the ceremony. As soon as I received got the cert I walked to TD Garden.

To get a passport in Passport Agency you must have the Naturalization Cert , Proof of Travel and Appointment booked by phone in advance.

Ceremony finishes exactly in 2 hours so you could book the appointment at 2:30pm you will make it.

I applied for expedited COMBO Passport Book 52 Pages + Passport Card same day as my oath and give them booking that I am travelling to Canada within 48 hours. I got my passport card + book + cert in hand in less than 24 hours. I went there 2:30pm Thursday and received everything in my hand Friday 4pm.

Of course I have to pay expedited fees $60 additional

very nice.

i dont have to travel anytime soon so i think im going to just go to the post office after the ceremony and get the regular service. it'll take some weeks but whatever.

Conditional GC Process:
04/2012 - Concurrent I-130 petition / I-485 AOS / I-765 EAD / I-131 AP sent
35 days to biometrics, 73 days to EAD/AP combo card, 85 days to interview, 96 days to Conditional Green Card

04/2014 - Eligible for ROC

06/2014 - I-751 package filing joint with spouse sent

5 days to extension,37 days to biometrics, 172 days to CSC transfer, 247 days to Green Card

04/2015 - Eligible for Citizenship

09/2015 - N-400 package filing on basis of USC spouse sent

29 days to biometrics, 105 days to interview, 147 days to oath and US citizenship

~ 9 years and 6 months from first entry to US citizenship

Does anyone know how long it takes before your status change online after the interview?IO told me it could take up to 6 months for the oath ceremony in fargo,and a decision could not be made on my application on the day of my interview,am really confused right now.He said the reason been he has to review my application to see if all the information is true,i made several changes on the application including"I mentioned i had 2 traffic tickets and a parking ticked"Any advice ?

There are two issues here, the approval and the oath.

Approval.

Probably not much to worry about here. It's normal for an interviewer to have to check the application and get final approval. Usually the applicant is told that they are being recommended for approval, but sometimes they are told that a decision will be made later. If there's a problem, you'll get a Request for Evidence in the mail.

Oath.

It's not surprising that there aren't many oath ceremonies in ND. You'll want to make sure that you're application is approved and that you're inline to be scheduled for the next ceremony. Unfortunately, the online status doesn't always update after the interview. Quite often it still says "interview scheduled" long after the oath ceremony. So maybe if you haven't heard anything in a month or so, you should call. I imagine you don't want to drive all the way to the nearest field office for an Infopass appointment, so make sure you explain the situation in the phone and explain how far away you live.

Apologies, I have been meaning to update this for a while. I finally got my interview letter through in early January, with an interview date of 02/09/16, which I passed without issue, and I have my oath tomorrow, 02/18/16. A couple of points to note: they didn't ask to see any of the supporting documents I took with me, such as my wife's birth certificate, or our marriage certificate etc. Interview started with civics question, I got the first 6 right, so we stopped there. Then went through the form, focusing on the yes/no questions. Lady was very nice, friendly, overall a very positive experience. She then told me she was recommending me for approval, and asked me to go back to the waiting room for 30-45 minutes, and then they would bring me my oath letter, since there was a ceremony the following week. I"m not sure if they always give you the oath letter in Houston, or if they only do that when the interview is in close proximity to an oath ceremony. Either way, I waited about 45 minutes and then a guy called out my name, and gave me the oath letter, along with a directions sheet.

I'll post more after oath tomorrow. :dancing:

Hi Guys,

I am an applicant from April 2015, Since the discussion sort of ended there as it has been quite a while, I thought I may want to ask here.

I finally had my interview in NYC on 2/9, and was told being recommended for approval. If I didn't misunderstood my IO, I was told I could leave and just wait for notice at home. So I didn't stay in the building any longer, not something like waiting in the room for additional notice, not to mention oath letter.

Just want to check if that is a norm in NYC? that interviewees just leave and wait for mail at home? Or did I miss anything that I should have stayed there for additional notice?

The interview was pretty straight forward. Definitely not what I was expecting but hey I'm not complaining. I got there 5 minutes before my 12:30 scheduled interview time (long story). I was called in 20 minutes later. IO was very pleasant greeted me and walked me into his office. Got in he asked me to remaining standing so I could be sworn in. After swearing in we went over my application to make sure everything was ok. He verified the shelling of my names since I am also doing a name change ( middle names). He checked my passport and greencard to make sure everything was as stated on my application I guess. After he asked me to read a question 'what country is north of the United States?' Then he gave me the answer and had me write it. Then he asked me the history questions I answered the first 6 correctly so he stopped. He told me that he was approving my case and I'd be getting a letter in the mail as to when the date of my oath ceremony is going to be. Didn't ask to see any additional supporting documents
