I know this has been covered in abundance!

I am trying to help my daughter-in-law with her AOS paperwork.

I can't find it on the visa anywhere

It's not handwritten by CBP on her entry stamp

We can't find the NOA2 for the I-129F

Any ideas peeps?

usually A# is found in the visa underneath the annotation of the name of the person who petition her. Also checked the form I-94 (departure record) stapled in her passport, it's hand written in the back. Hope that helps, because my A# is in those documents. Just double check.

already checked all those - she said she never received the stapled I-94 and I've reviewed the visa several times and it just isn't on it! So frustrating. The rest of her paperwork is completed - I just need that number for her!~

As a last resort, you could just make an infoPass appointment and have her bring all identifying documents. I'm assuming they wouldn't give such information over the phone.

Look above her name on the NOA2 (I-797C) she received because that is where it usually is--sorry, I just noticed that you do not have the NOA2 for the I-129f. Two options 1) make an INFOpass appointment to get the A#, 2) submit the AOS without the A# and hope it does not delay the processing too much, but you must submit a copy of the I-797C anyway, so you might as well find a way to get a new copy of it.

My wife's was handwritten on the actual visa page in her passport.

You will need something to prove the I-129F approval. A copy of the I-129F NOA2 approval notice is required with the I-485, but people have been successful with providing other documents, such as a printout of the online USCIS case status approval notice and letter from the NVC stating the approved petition was sent to the consulate. Filing for a duplicate will cost you $405.

You can call and ask to speak to a tier 2 immigration officer about your case and ask them, or go in person to an infopass appt to get the A#.

On the K-1 Visa that was stapled into my Passport it has on the left side by the photo:

AOS Timeline 350 days

 

May 31/15 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP to USCIS

June 4/15 - Email and text notifications they were recieved

June 10/15 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP Dated June 1

June 17/15- Change of address confirmation

June 22/15- Biometrics appointment received

July 1/15- Biometrics appointment done(5 minute appointment, 8 hour round trip drive <_< )

August 5/15 - Change of address submitted for new location

August 8/15 - Mobile/E-mail notifications for approved EAD/AP :)

August 17/15 - Change of address confirmation after calling in

August 17/15 - EAD/AP Combo card mailed out(To the wrong address, and then lost by USPS)

September 3/15 - Contacted USCIS and was told to re-apply with a new application and fees?! Put in a service request online for lost card, and a complaint

September 8/15 - USPS found & returned card to USCIS

September 15/15 - Ombudsman contacted USCIS

September 17/15 - Card mailed back out

September 19/15 - EAD/AP Combo card finally in hand

September 22/15 - NPIW letter received, dated September 9/2015 estimated 6 month wait

October 13-21/15 - Traveled using AP to visit parents & ship the rest of our belongings out west

November 27-30/15 - Traveled using AP

December 28/15- RFE hard copy, waiting on documents from Canada

January 31-February 7/16 - Traveled using AP

February 10/16 - Sent in RFE, delivered Feb 16

April 16/16 - Service request filed, RFE was never updated online

May 12 - Approved email and status update dated May 10. Service request never was assigned or solved, though.

May 14 - Greencard in hand!

Not all countries print the A# on the visa.

I-94 is automated now so no longer stapled in visa.

My husband's visa issued in London has the A number in the first column next to the photo.
