Quick question, the guide lists the following for documents referring to you and your spouse,

to_post_off.gif Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or to_post_off.gif Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years, or to_post_off.gif

An IRS tax return transcript for the last three years.

So i'm wondering exactly how much proof specifically is needed? You do not need certified IRS copies of you last three years of taxes if you throw enough stuff from the first list at them? As of now my wife and I have a copy of our daughters birth certificate, a copy of a deed for a timeshare we have with Disney, copy of our latest property tax statement, all joint of course. I'm going to send statements from two different banks we have joint accounts with, does that seem like enough or is it a little light? I'd like to send a copy of our mortgage but it's printed on that tall paper most printer/scanner/copiers can't make a copy of, I can take it somewhere to have professional copies made I suppose? Thanks for your time and any replies, it's really appreciated!

Regards,

Jason M.

Its painless to order the IRS statements (might even be online now) and free - should they end up asking for them at the interview, why not have them in your back pocket ready to hand over if needed?

Thanks for the further replies. In reference to the quarterly statements for the joint bank account we've had a joint account for 10 years do you really think we should go that far back? Maybe I will get those IRS statements I forgot they are free to order, I'm just in a bit of a hurry as her parents are "insisting" we visit first half of next year so we are super pushing it to get this done however she can get her Dutch passport renewed if we haven't finished citizenship in time. Packet is completely ready except for whatever extra stuff I throw in for proof.
