My question about the IV package is the passport photos of my husband. I sent one with the USCIS. But Seeing that they request two, I have asked hubby to send me two more, which means he has to mail them to me. So how important are the passport photos if he is also going to bring them to Interview? My passport photos are not required right? I have not been able to get thru to NVC today, their phone lines are busy!

Hello everyone, my husband called NVC today

twice.

The first rep requested we wait till 17th of

September that the checklist email doesn't

matter.

The second rep checked the system and said

they didn't receive any other documents

apart from the Police Report that was sent

and request we resend the documents.

What do we do now?

Hubby is already complaining of having to fill the AOS form all over.

NVC does not require beneficiary's passport photos. The embassy will require it during the interview. If you are already at nvc stage, I would advise to just wait until the interview to submit the (2) passport photos.

So you got a checklist for police clearance certificate? And you sent that with the document cover sheet? If so, when did the checklist package arrive to nvc? You may have to wait a couple days for them to scan it and then call to verify that they received it.

I completed the DS-261 & paid the AOS fee on August 31, 2015.

The AOS fee is still showing "In Process" after 5 business days and the payment went thru my bank several days ago.

The IV fee has not been opened so I can pay.

I know it is nearly impossible to get through to NVC but should I be calling? If not, how long should I wait?

The IV fee will not be available until your AOS fee shows PAID & 261 is reviewed by agent over phone. You could call later tonight when nvc is not busy and ask what they can do about your AOS fee and review.

Hope I get a CC within the next couple of days, my 30 day timeline would end on thursday. I'm starting to notice people who sent in AOS and IV packets in AFTER I did receiving their CC, so I hope I will get mine soon.

No joke!!! I called the NVC 100 consecutive times (literally) and never got through.

I just called after reading your message and got through on the first try.. waiting for someone to answer now. After 10pm works for me

I finally got thru to the NVC. I called (one of many times) and got thru at 11:15pm.

Was on hold for 15 minutes.

Was not able to review the DS-261 because it was so late, however I did triple check about the passport photos, and it is true, NVC no longer needs passport photos. That is only for the beneficiary to bring to the interview.

My moms case will be 30th day on FRIDAY.. I keep checking for that 3 N/A. :clock:

My husband sent all documents in one package as advised except for the police report. I didn't send him my police report before he sent out the first package. UPSP tracking showed that it was received on the 13th of August while the police certificate that was sent separately was received on the 17th of August.

My scan date shows 17th of August which was the date the police report was received.

The checklist mentioned everything except the police report.

My husband was abl to speak with a third rep yesterday and demanded he should be transferred to a supervisor. The rep advised he send refresh documents will take less than 30 days rather than being transferred to a supervisor which will take

about 42 days.
