Well I just got off the phone with NVC. Spoke with a very nice and very apologetic gentleman who assures me my case came out of AP on 11/20 and should be sent out at any time now. He did say that it was very odd that my status with CEAC never said AP. It has said at NVC for 3 weeks now. He said that was VERY strange. Not sure if I should be worried about that or not. I spoke with a woman Friday who told me the same thing but everyone else I have spoken with has said it is in AP. Guess it depends on who you talk to and how willing to help you they are. So for now, we wait. If it gets sent this week, we should be good for her to interview on the 4th.

So please pray for us my VJ friends and I'm praying for all of you still dealing with your own frustrations. God bless!

Which number u used to call NVC? however and in the processing time sheet; its mentioned that the processing time at NVC varries from 4 to 6 weeks...so there is nothing to be afraid of! u still within the range

You have to do the DS-160 before you pay the visa fee. You will need the confirmation number from the DS-160 to do your deposit slip you need to pay your visa fee.

Once you have paid your visa fee, you will need your receipt number from the deposit to schedule your interview.

Register online with slec for your medical and get your CENOMAR and NBI clearance too.

I thought you can pay the MRV fee without filling the DS-160 yet? As far as I know you only need to print the applicable U.S. visa application deposit slip and take the printed deposit slip with you to pay the fee. Look: http://manila.usembassy.gov/niv-application.html Step 1 actually is paying the fee and Step 2 is the DS-160 then schedule for interview..

Thanks guys!

Guess we'll do DS-160 for now cause my fiance is still in Malaysia. Might as well pay the fee once she gets back.

@Chuck and Rosana: Hope you guys get your case ready in the coming days ^_^

Hello all!

I am very glad some of you already got the visas!!

Congrats to everyone!

My case got stuck somewhere... Called NVC and they said they have sent our case out on October 29th. I emailed the embassy again (3rd time already) and today they still don't have out papers yet. Nearly a month!!!! As I see most embassies got the case in 3-7 days, why ours takes ages? Rrr

So me and my fiance decided to leave it for now as we can't make it till Christmas with my schengen visa as well. Next week he is moving to Boston, and as soon as he is settled, I will arrive there to spend the holidays together :) Luckily my B1/B2 is still valid!!

And then back in January to finish the whole thing. Hopefully, the embassy will have my case by then, haha. NOA2 is valid till Jan 29th, we should be good.

Good luck to all of us still waiting for some stuff!

xxx

That's the problem... I read on other forums that some people DO schedule an interview date different from what's on their paper, because their date is no "longer" available on the website....

Other people just take another date that is closer... But I never find a clear answer to that problem...

Which paper is your fiancé going to show at the Embassy entrance? The email that you got this morning or the interview date through their website?

I think you should email them just to be sure. They should get back to you within 2 days : parisconiv@state.gov

I read that sometimes, if you email them and ask them, they will give you another interview date way much closer (like 2-3 days from today).

That's what I am going to do I think, but I'll be sure to get my medical appointment before.

So I went ahead and e-mailed the consulate explaining that we chose a different date and why ... and they replied that:

"To register on www.usvisa-info.com is only a formality re the mandatory payment and for the contractor to send the visa once ready.

The consular officer will interview Mr Renou at the U.S. Embassy Paris on February 2nd

If he wishes, your fiancé can postpone his medical appointment as the results are valid for six months sometimes three (in case of strong medical issues)."

So I guess we're stuck with February 2nd "/

I am sorry for this delay, it's always a pain when that happens. I am excited for you though that you'll be able to spend holidays together. That's so nice!! :D

Well, better that than later! Or better than stuck at the beginning of this journey. At least you have an interview date :) I always try to see a good side, even if you would think "It's easy to talk for me", but I am trying to give support as I can :D

I wish I could help people more - I am confused myself !
