I have my interview at 1pm tomorrow. we had a huge snow storm here in MN, over the weekend, but it seems to be over now. I was getting a little worried. But anyways, tomorrow is the big day. Any pointers? I think I have every evidence I need, just needs to be organized. I hope I get the stamp I'll post my experience on here after the interview. wish me luck.

the good thing is that the snow has stopped temporarily here in the twin city area... good thing your interview isnt on wednesday or thursday cuz its gonna snow heavy those 2 days again.

So, here's what happened at my interview . My husband and I got there about 12:30. We were sent up to the third floor, placed the interview notice in a bin, and went into a waiting area. There were people waiting there, and we just sat down and watched some CNN.

Then a blonde lady came out at 1:10 and called me. She took me to her office, and then asked me to swear the oath. She asked the usual questions, what's your name, date of birth, husband's name, address, parents' names, and so on. She then asked the other questions, if you've been a prostitute, terrorist, deported, etc. Then she asked how we met, when we got married, where the ceremony was held, who attended. I gave her our photo album with all our pictures from when we dated, family reunions, vacation, and wedding pictures. She also collected copies of our utility bills, cellphone bills, health, life, and renter's insurance, and joint bank statement. She then called my husband in, made him take the oath, and asked him basically the same questions.

She was so formal, and didn't even smile or make us comfortable. My husband got really nervous and forgot the exact date we met. He tried to laugh about it, and made a joke, but she just cut him off and didn't even let him finish talking. After the interview, she said, oh I can't approve you today because the name check isn't done yet. She then went and made copies of some of our pictures, and that was it.

It was the worst interview I've ever had . I guess I'm now going to join the rest of you guys in the waiting line. This sucks!

Just pray that you get through name check quickly. Sorry to hear that your interview experience wasn't very pleasant. Hopefully, it will all work out for the best and you can be done with it very soon

sorry to hear about your experience. it seems like u are Approved for greencard pending namecheck. come on dont feel down.

i wouldnt worry about it unless u got some criminal history that hasnt been disclosed on the i485.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. I know they won't find anything on me. If there's any delay, it will be from USCIS. I pray that all of us stuck in name check get everything cleared up soon. My husband was so furious at USCIS and his government, he wanted us to get a lawyer asap. But I told him that there are other people in our situation. We can only sit and wait. So, the waiting begins....fingers crossed.
