Just had my request for passport to be sent to the embassy in London.

I thought I saw a link once, showing current processing times. Could someone point me in the right direction?

The embassy website says that it's 3-5 days if you're approved on the day but not sure if a) that info is out of date and b) if it's the same for sending in your passport after the interview.

a Sounds right

b No

Why did they not keep your passport?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

People report their London times in a thread in the UK forum.

The embassy website says 10-15 days (if you are approved at the interview) on this page. http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/after_interview.html

You weren't approved at the interview, so that doesn't apply to you really because things have to be sent and received, reviewed, etc. ...a different situation. Once your status changes to "approved" AND they have your passport, then you might have it in 3-5 days.
