Also...does it has to be a long version including parents' names too, or for the interview the short version is fine anyways?

Thanks

Hello everybody,

I would need an information. Once at the Embassy interview I'll give them my fiancée's Original birth certificate, are they gonna give it back to me in the end of the interview, or are they gonna keep it?

Thanks

If you supplied them with copies of the birth certificate and you are only bringing the original to show them, you should get it back. I made the mistake of supplying them with the original documents in my package because I misunderstood and had to fill out a document after the fact and send it to the National Records Center to get it back. So just know even if they keep it for some strange reason, you can still get it back! :)

they should have had the original before it got to embassy

but if you have to provide it / depends on embassy / they gave all back to us when approved / when denied, they return to USCIS
