I would omit the Craigslist part and just go with the Dallas airport part... Here's an explanation of what to say: "A formal explanation of how you met one another in the last 2 years. Again, be sure to sign and date this, petitioner! This links directly to question 18 on Form I-129F and so should be referenced as such. Two or three sentences will work just fine here."

This is what I put in mine, no RFE, but people HAVE recieved RFE's for stating they met online before and NOT listing where. I was actually expecting an RFE due to someone putting almost the exact same info I did. Again, you don't -need- to have it that detailed, especially if you can't have it that detailed, but you -CAN- get an RFE for just putting online.

Either way, here's what mine looked like:

I met my fiance on craigslist, but I met him at the airport in dallas, do I need to say in the letter we met on Craigs list? What do I put in the letter?

You do not need a letter to explain how you met. You only need to describe, briefly, HOW you met in person within the last 2 years.

This works just fine:

I met [fiancé's name] at the airport in Dallas, TX on [date you met].

The post you linked is old and outdated. A letter of explanation of how you met is not needed. You only need to give the facts: WHEN did you last meet, WHERE did you meet.

Yeah, that post is from 2007. The question it is referring to on the I-129F is not even #18 anymore(and has not been for years). It is #34a. Just a short statement as to when and where you met in person within the last 2 years will do.
