Our case status on the ceac website changed to In Transit Friday afternoon. My fiance is paying the visa fee today. We are looking to schedule the interview for the first week of September. Is that enough time for the petition to arrive in Manila?

absolutely !

you reread Hank_ 's Handy-Dandy, Neeto-Keen (yet spiffy) guide to SuperFast K-1 visa chasing for Manila IV? Yes? No? If no - hey ! Get on a PC, find any one of Hank_ 's posts in the PI subforum, and click the link in his signature area.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

It will be in Manila in about two - three weeks. It's ok to start booking your visa interview and medical.

Should be just fine for the case file being there. Most times it takes two weeks or less.

I appreciate all of the comments I have received. My Fiance paid the visa fee Monday morning Philippine time. I spoke with NVC this morning and they told me the petition went out today to USEM. We just trued to schedule the interview and there are no dates available for September :cry:.

August 26 is available but I am very concerned that the petition will not be ready by in 2 weeks. My Fiancee can travel to Manila and complete her medical early next week. I am worried we cannot get a screen shot of "ready" this week.

How risky is it to schedule the interview for the 26th if the petition went out today with DHL? How can she complete the medical if we don't have a screenshot of the "READY" status.

Thanks everyone for the great support and advice here.

Schedule your appointment for 8/26. Your file will be there in time if it left last Friday. They usually get the packets and begin logging them in on Monday Manila time. You'll be fine.

The file will be there... no issue.

St. Luke's needs either copies of the NVC letter/email with the MNL# OR a copy of the interview confirmation page... one or the other, don't need a screen shot of the CEAC page.

If you want to have a little fun tracking your package then try these steps. Keep in mind it is tracking "the bag" not your individual case. If your case is in "the bag" then you will know where it is route. Have fun.

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to Manila then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference : EXP 24 MAR 2011A

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila / Works for any Country

Too late for that - I just checked and it says READY :joy:

Interview scheduled for August 26. Now we're scrambling to get everything ready so she can go to Manila this weekend and do her physical next week.
