Hey guys does anyone know the reason why the uscis processing time for I-130 has changed from 5 months to 2014?

Really confused and not sure if we should now contact our Senator for help as we have nearly reached the 6 month mark?

According to your timeline you filed in April....which would mean you are at about 4 months now. Well within normal processing times. Check Igors list. I have not looked for a while, but I am guessing right now they are working on petitions from Feb/March. If it would make you feel better call USCIS, but all they will likely tell you is you are within normal processing times. I would suggest you try to sit back and relax for at least another month before you get worried, and keep an eye on Igors list. When petitions from around your time frame start getting approved then you should keep an eye out for your own approval.

First mine was at Missouri office from March till October and then sent to Nebraska for faster processing with an additional letter saying if not processed in 60 days send inquiry, i did and no one knew where the packet was as had MSC on it (Missouri office)

Finally sent to NVC in April 13 months after priority date

USCIS is overwhelmed with applications

they will tell you

also the systems have been down quite a bit / government suffered computer hacking as you have heard on the news

Be patient and learn to wait

yours will go a lot faster than mine

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

noa1: Jan 6th,2015

noa2: July 1st, 2015

Where: Nebraska

I was approved in basically 6 months exactly. Even when I called a couple days prior to approval USCIS says they were still working December cases. So; the average is about 5-6months. But, USCIS will say they are on a 7month approval timeline.

Haha, just remember to count your days/months correctly. I thought May 6th was my 5 month point. I was wrong. If you filed in April, then September is your 5 month mark. And October is your 6 month mark.

PETITION I-130

1/2/2015 - Petition sent to Phoenix Lockbox

1/6/2015 - NOA #1 Receipt

7/1/2015 - NOA #2 Approved

7/10/2015 - Email from Nebraska stating sent the case to NVC

NVC

7/16/15 - Case Received by NVC

7/30/15 - Case number assigned

8/3/15 - DS-261 Agent available

8/4/15 - DS-261 Agent completed

8/4/15 - AOS fee available & paid

8/6/15 - Check cleared the bank & bar-code cover sheet now available

8/13/15 - AOS Packet & IV Packet sent to NVC by priority mail

8/15/15 - IV fee available & paid same day

8/17/15 - NVC received package

8/19/15 - Check cleared the bank & DS-260 available & DS-260 completed!!! ALSO, we received email notification from NVC that they received package on 8/17

- Case completed at NVC

- Case sent to Embassy on this date

EMBASSY

- Embassy received packet

- Wife received Packet 3/4 Instructions

- Medical appointment
