Plane Tickets for dependent children on IR2 visa (one-way)

Hello All,

My wife and I have been filing for our / her kids in the Philippines. We have been approved for an expedited case due to the school year starting here next month. My question is trying to obtain two one way tickets for them once my wife purchases her round trip ticket to go fetch them.

Any one here have experience in this?

What is the best way? I believe that you're restricted from purchasing one way tickets from the Philippines.

I was considering having her buy some of the discounted Cebu Pacific or the like, tickets to another close by Asian country, such as HK or Korea and then purchase the kids one way tickets from there.

I solved that problem for her initial trip by using my airline miles but unfortunately I don't have enough for this (she has used them all up on 2 trips last year back to the Philippines).

Looking for a solution? Hope someone has experienced this before and has a proven remedy.

you can purchase ticket at Philippine Airlines online using your credit or debit card (but make sure you inform them beforehand to avoid any hassle). PAL has a direct flight from Manila to US. I bought my first son's ticket at PAL online using my debit card and im planning the same thing for my second son who was interviewed yesterday (approved).

You can buy one way tickets to or from Philippines. You can do all of your transactions online through the airlines website, ticket agent of your choice or at the airlines ticketing office. Once you purchase the ticket then send her the itinerary and she can print the tickets there in the Philippines or she can bring them with her.

Your over thinking the process. You can bag this yourself. Congratulations by the way.

Just went through this hassle for me, my wife and step-daughter. RT for me, one way for them.

Of course looking for the best deal, read cheap, in a suitable time frame. Used the google matrix website to search for the airfares and then started to explore the broker sites to get that airfare. I ended up getting my rt from one their one way on another. The next challenge was to get seat assignments in the same row which was even more of a challenge but doable.

Congrats on getting the family together.
