Respected executives,

i am a criminal attorney from outside of united states. one of my clients brother in law who is an alien residing in california and working in a reputed IT firm. This alien has criminally assaulted my client and has been issued nonbailable warrant by the court of criminal proceeding in his native country. The possible punishment for his offence is 2 years imprisonment on conviction. But, the alien as he is in USA is avoiding to come to india. I just wanted to know what all possible actions can be taken against him so that he be sent back home for his offence. Your precious repies will mean a lot to us.

Regards,

You ask on a diy immigration site?

The Indian government would seek his extradition, perhaps you should ask them?

I would say slim to none that the US would even bother to extradite a person on a domestic violence incident. It would almost have to be a case of national security issue.

Why not contact the Embassy of India in San Francisco ( http://www.cgisf.org/)and confer with them what is the best way to handle this. Since the incident happen else where. The US authorities will not be involved.
