Do I need to obtain another police report?

I am supposed to bring all original civil documents to my interview but I sent all originals to nvc. I have certified copies of my marriage and birth certificates but I don't have a police report since I sent it to nvc. Do I need to get another one?

From what I understand, they will be available at the interview, but I just want to be sure so any help would be appreciated! My interview is in a week! Pray for us!

You are suppose to send copies to NVC and bring originals to the interview. Hopefully your originals will still be in the packet. NVC's notorious for loosing documents. :( Good luck with your interview

June 22nd 2015 - Checklist response sent to NVC


June 25th 2015 - Put for Supervisor Review


Sept 15th 2015 - Request help from Texas US Senator Cornyn and his team


Sept 23rd 2015 - Our case is moved from supervisor review to NVC's team for dealing with Senator requests


Nov 4th 2015 - CASE COMPLETE!!!! :dancing:



Embassy Stage


Dec 16th 2015 - Medical exam


Dec 21st 2015 - Interview


Dec 21st 2015 - 221(g) issued at interview for updated forms


Jan 13th 2016 - Mailed our reply to the 221(g) to the US Embassy, received and CEAC updated the next morning


Jan 20th 2016 - Embassy require more in-depth info on asset for i-864


Feb 1st 2016 - Sent more in-depth info on assets as requested. Received the next morning


Feb 16th 2016 - Visa has been issued :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:



In the US


April 5th 2016 - POE Newark. No questions asked.


April 14th 2016 - SSN received


May 10th 2016 - First day at my new job :dancing:


May 27th 2016 - Green Card received


June 7th 2016 - Got my Texas driver's license

No, you don't need another Palestinian Police report, we didn't bring one to the interview since they already had the original from NVC. And of course the Israelis send theirs directly to the consulate. so just have the marriage and birth certificates if they ask for it....They didn't look at any of our photos

3/7/2014 RFE completed and mailed in

5/12/2014 **I-130 APPROVED** !! 652 days

6/3/2014 NVC received case

7/19/2014 pay AOS bill, send aos packet

7/22/2014 NVC received AOS papers

8/20/2014 send IV packet

8/25/2014 NVC received IV papers

8/27/2014 pay IV bill

9/9/2014 DS-260 completed

9/15/2014 AOS checklist

9/24/2014 NVC scanned aos

10/29/2014 "paid" turned to "n/a"

10/31/2014 called NVC and confirmed case complete

11/4/2014 email with interview scheduled

12/15/2014 INTERVIEW

02/20/2015 I-601 waiver received @ Nebraska

07/14/2015 I-601 waiver APPROVED

8/10/2015 ceac changed from refused to ready

8/12/2015 visa was issued !!!!!!

8/25/2015 POE Chicago, no questions asked about waiver

I was thinking this same thing my husband sent me the police records from Palestine but I wasn't sure if he needed to get records from the Israel side as well. The one he sent me was sealed and they told him at the office he picked it up from not to open it or it will no longer be valid. Just to be safe i will ask him to get another copy before his interview we still have time i think before that happens

You need records from Palestine and Israel, but Israel will send them directly to the embassy.

so does he need to go ask for them from israel or do they automatically do that? I was to make sure so I can have him go get one asap.

It says "nvc sent this document to the embassy." But I don't have a copy of it either. Will they ask for one?

You do not need a copy of it and the NVC sent it to interview. As long as that copy is valid, you are fine.

You only need copies of documents that you do not need back and the police report is not something that is returned to you.
