I wouldn't bother more than once if I were you. Just call after 6pm EDT so that they'll have some update from the day time. I'm sure my case no. would have not been available if I called earlier from my office today.

I know many of us here are waiting to hear update from others so they can compare their expected date based on the post they see. So here it is. I just got my case no. and there was no forwarded date to the US embassy as the case was just entered into the system and the case no. was generated today. I'm expecting USEM should be getting it soon. As I'll be visiting my fiancee in 2 weeks, I'll have her do medical and CFO while I'm there.

Good luck to everyone!!!

Keep in mind that the visa validity date is tied to the medical and not to the issuance of the visa. The clock for the 6 month validity will start from the day she has her medical. Six months from that date she will need to been on American soil. Just a heads up for you and others.

How many times in a day do I need to call the NVC? I will try to call this evening or 12mn here in our time.

Calling once per day is enough. The best time to call is 7:05 am EDT. Use either 1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. The last number most get in right away. More details in the link below at the twisting arrow.

Also, register for myUSCIS and get confirmation on ALL your cases going forward. You'll see a dashboard and you can get updates to your cases from there. It will save you time staying off the phones. Next item is the phone app. to check your status during the day.

We had a RFE and my fiance mailed the info in the provided envelope 2 day priority with tracking.

It got there on August 20th and we received our approval on August 24th (2 business days as there was a weekend in there).

So for anyone with a RFE it only set us back 13 days. It's moving very quickly in California on all fronts.

Now I guess it's the long 35 day wait to find out our case # :)

They provided a self-addressed envelope with the RFE but we included documentation to prove the website wasn't an International Marriage Broker so we mailed it out in an overnight priority mail envelope. It should be arriving today sometime before, or by, 3PM.

Hello,

Did you mail this with USPS?

I'm wondering if it matters which courier delivers the package.

Thank you.

It was just USPS, yes. The 2 day priority mail and added tracking. It got there safely with no issues :)

I don't think it matters though as long as it goes to the correct address.
