Well after 7+ months of treatment at SLEC, we are back on track and expect that my fiancee will have her interview at the end of july. We are starting to gather evidence again and I think I am overwhelmed by the shear amount that we have available. hundreds of pages of chats, 60 or 70 pages of call records etc.

How much do I need in the way of chats and call records? I don't think printing hundreds of pages is the way to go.

In addition to the chats and call records I have been to the Philippines 3 times and these trips are well documented. Pictures, boarding passes, passport stamps etc.

I'm sure this has been asked before but Im having trouble finding it. Forgive me. I'm a bit nervous and want to avoid more delay, need to get this together and get it sent to her

So how much did you provide at the embassy in manila?

Thanks

Hi bowens,

I understand how you feel. Anyway, when I was fixing my paper works in Manila, since we've been bf/gf for 6 years, what my lawyer suggested to me is get or print at least 1-2 chats/emails per month (esp. recent ones) , 1-2 call records per month, all the trips that you documented with boarding passes/passport stamps and at least 1 photo album with 50-100 pictures will do. (choose the important ones like w/ the two of you, close friends and family and highlight or place a little history on each picture ex. yr 2008, 1st yr anniversary @ Manila hotel etc..) . Honestly, when I got interviewed at the US Embassy in Manila, the US consul did not even ask for any pictures since we already submitted it to them. But it's better to bring it as well.

Regarding the interview, you can also check my timeline regarding my K1 interview experience as well. Your fiance can do this, tell her to be confident and just answer whatever the consul only asked. She needs not to worry as long as she fully remembers the important dates you've been together, your love story, your family, she's all set. :)

Goodluck and God bless on your journey :)

Just bring along 12 pictures of the two of you with family especially gatherings and at tourist attractions.

The tickets and receipts are important from your trips so scan and print those.

If you can show some history of phone calls like from Skype or other means it will help.

Your just trying to get across to the CO that your a couple and this is not a scam.

It will be cheaper if you can prepare a PDF file and email to her where she can get it printed locally. Sending it via FedEx will be somewhere $100-$125.

My wife and I were discussing this as well and we settled picking a some emails/chat a few months per year just to show constant communication (IR1/CR1). However, we focused more on the pictures showing us together with each other's families. During her interview I think they only checked a few pictures and that's it, they did not check anything else.

The Filipina consul only asked to see pictures of us together. We brought 2 photo books and we showed our pictures to her. That was it.

We did bring some chat logs and such, but not much. We printed one page per month from Skype and Viber, so thinking we had around 20ish pages. We brought it just in case, but they never asked for it.

I sent 0 photos, probably about 250 pages of chat. I explained that I didn't have photos because when we met I wasn't thinking marriage was a possibility and sent travel docs. I don't think there's a magic number, but it's just paper so sending too much chat can't really hurt. Good luck, don't over worry it's a simple process.

Whoops this is for interview, technically at interview she had photos because I visited from the time of the start of the visa process until interview also. They didn't ask to see or keep any though. She probably had 3 photos with her.

Just go to your interview relaxed and confident and smile too, just have all of your documents up to date, they will be asking you about your other half so make sure you know his birthday, job etc and you will be fine, plus don't forget the photos of you to together. Good luck on the rest of your journey

Thanks all for the replies. I think we will go with a couple of pages of chats for each month and some Skype and Viber call logs.

Just a sprinkling of chat logs (some old -some new), copies of your boarding passes would be good showing your multi visits. And for sure pictures, but don't need an album, just 4-6 pictures, they can even be printed on bond paper 2-4 to a page or whatever.
