Vawa approved went for GC interview and now waiting on decision

Hello Guys,

My lawyer filed my I360 and I485 concurrently and Jan 09, 2014 my VAWA case got approved.

Went for GC interview on Sept 11, 2014 in New York Long Island office.

IO asked basic 485 yes and no questions and said you should hear from us with in next 60 days.

Never heard from them for rest of the year.

Filed for EAD renewal on March 6th.

On March 21 submited a information request on GC(i485) application.

On March 27 they said we are still working on your application and cant give you a timeframe by when decision will be made.

On May 13 they denied EAD petition station my GC was denied.

I made an infopass appointment as I never got denial letter for GC.

Went for Infopass on June 2nd 2015 and IO said GC petition was never denied infact no body touched my file since my interview. She would need to request my file and see what is pending. I requested her that if she can give anything in writing stating my GC is still pending so that i can file for EAD renewal. I've been out of job for 3 months now. But IO said SORRY cant give anything in writting at this time but I promise to adjudicate your case within next 30 days. If you dont get anything from us within next 30 days make an infopass appointment again.

Its been 22 days since then and havent got anything from them yet.

Kind of very frustated. Anybody had similar experience and share their timeline would be great.

Looking to hear any advice or your journey.

Thanks Hypnos. Do you know if they can get any adverse results as this is I360 based petition.

Also just read your timeline, so did you reached out to DHS after your first GC interview based on approved vawa? What all they asked you at the first interview? Why they called you at the second interview and what all they asked at the second interview?

No I am not a VAWA beneficiary. I contacted the Ombudsman following USCIS' mishandling of my case.

No negative repercussions will occur from you contacting the Ombudsman.

Finally got a letter from USCIS today stating that I need to resubmit the Medical examination again as the initial one is now expired and also the original disposition of my DUI ticket. I was proved Not Guilty for this and did mailed the original disposition to them earlier but seems like they cant find it now. last week i scheduled another infopass for July 8th. Hopefully i can get both these papers by then and i will drop it to them in person. Hoping that it may help in expediting this case.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Went for another infopass today. The IO says the case has been transferred to Vermont office and they will re-adjudicate my I-360 based on the judgement for reckless driving (where i was plead not guilty). Does anybody know what to expect at this point?
