The more I think about this comment the more I can't believe anyone actually sat down and typed it out.

Trying to bring a little good out of this tragedy that has absolutely nothing to do with rape? Trying to bring a little good out of this tragedy in a way that doesn't admit that the shooter was simply a racist piece of garbage? Trying to bring a little good out of this tragedy so that people like you can go on thinking that hate crimes are a myth?

A german poster might be able to explain it better than me, but basically neonazism is considered outside the constitutional framework of Germany so they aren't protected and the imagery is banned.

From a 1st amendment point of view, it obviously doesn't fly here but I am sympathetic to their law and could see things like the KKK or the late war confederate flag (as opposed to the early flag which lacks the connotations due to its lack of popularity after the war) being treated in a similar manner.

That makes sense. And interesting.

I'm sure MBD has a better grasp of this than I, but being over there for 3 years I can tell you what I've seen.

Germany regrets the actions of the Reich. So much in fact they have shows to talk about it with remorse. That's why they have the Holocaust Museum. And I only saw like one Neo Nazi when I was there, but he kept his mouth shut because I wasn't alone and he was.

Folks can romanticize the the Confederate Flag because of the South and try to remove the more brutal elements from it. It's a 50/50 chance you can argue it. There's no way in **** you can do the same for the Nazi flag.

Do you have any idea how insane you sound when you legitimize his supposed viewpoint? He committed mass murder and his complaint was not solely 'raping women' but 'taking over our country'. By your logic, we should also have a discussion about how forced sterilization of black folks would have prevented this tragedy. Which is crazy talk because, guess what, it wouldn't have.

Simple fact is that this guy was a white supremacist and wanted justification for homicide, so he killed people and said stuff to make people think he was justified.

If the situations were reversed and a black kid with drug and trespassing charges shot a white person, but said something like "you rape our women, you have to go" beforehand ... LIB would be the first to judge the shooter for his hate-crime.

He definitely would not be calling for this country to start having a serious discussion about rape statistics.

That grandmother - and the other female victims - probably either gave birth to a black male that potentially would go on to rape a white woman or could have given birth to such a rapist later. See, there. It's all coming together now. Lost sees this very clearly, you need it explained to you.

I seem to recall an instance about a year or so ago where LIB tried to side with street harassers that women had no reason to be afraid when men compliment them aggressively. I guarantee this is just an attempt to make it look like he's not ACTUALLY supporting a mass murderer whilst he supports a mass murderer, because he hasn't thought that the stats on women being sexually assaulted was scary until a fellow racist brought it up.
