hi,

Just got married to my husband few days ago and all our documents are ready, but am skeptical about filling because i was advised that my marriage is too young and is a red flag. I am with F1 visa and still in school.

Honestly i am not eager to file for green card and i am not looking forward to travelling soon but i wanted to know if i can file for only work permit having married my american citizen husband.

I want my marriage to be 2 years before i can file for green card, i wanted to know if i can file for work permit alone because that is what i currently need.

If your marriage is bona fide - and you can prove it - then there is no reason to wait.
