Just done with my interview the Consul handed me the 221g because they want the certified copy of my fiance's divorce decree. I asked my fiance about it beforehand told he already sent it to USCIS but unfortunately the immigrant office told me it was just a photo copy so they're looking for original. Consul handed back to me my original Birth Certificate and my passport. And I ask him so is it approve? He said he can't say it for now because of the lacking document?

Any insights?

I'm really worried head is aching don't know whether after submission will surely get visa approval, feels like I wanted to cry. Another sleepless nights for me coz i don't really know the answer. I've red some of the interview from Singapore Consulate usually asian officer will collect all the documents and briefly ask some questions then it will followed by the American CO but when I had my interview only the asian officer do the interview part when gave me some instructions what to do, the American CO just ask so your fiance just started his new job told him yes. After that handed me the 221g slip pertaining to divorce decree certified copy then my birth cert and passport and told me to send the documents to courier mentioned to the form the asian guy gave me earlier that's it! then he do you have any question? ofcourse the precious question am I approved? like what I've mentioned earlier he said he can't tell yet. sigh... but he said I seen all the documents so far okay. But I don't want to assume not until I have it on hand. Currently status on "administrative process" : (

I have the same interview experience like you. The Asian officer insisted he can't find my husband certified divorce decree which we already sent to USCIS and NVC. When the Caucasian immigration officer interview me, he said our case is completed and he don't need anything from me . When I asked him about my approval, the immigration officer semi answer, it would be in a couple of days but wouldn't give any direct responses, reason because the Embassy needs time for administrative process and place the visa inside the passport.

The best part is , my husband certified divorce decree was inside the POE yellow envelope ( we found this out upon our POE inspection, the CBP officer handed it back to me )

I think you should be fine, don't worry. Keep checking your visa status, it should change to " issued" soon.

We're waiting on NOA2, but I only sent a copy of my divorce decree. Will this cause a problem?

During my interview the officer ask me if I bring along my fiance's certified copy of divorce decree because they don't have it. Better bring the certified copy on the day of interview.

Hi, G-J i understand how you feel and the whole process is very stressful.

May i ask you since you mentioned that your husband started his new job, did you provide them his past 3 years Tax Returns?

So the asian officer is the one collects all the supporting documenst?
