I placed an Inquiry on Tuesday (June 9th, 76 days since NOA1) and my husband received an email today saying his EAD was approved on June 9th which is odd 'cause upon checking the website it still says "Case was received on March 20th...". Anyway, I've read that some people experienced the same thing. To those people who are waiting for approval, don't lose hope. You'll get yours soon! Happy Friday! :dancing:

Congrats congratsss!!

On June 1 I called USCIS an did on inquiry about my EAD. I got no email or text with any update. This morning I called again and was told to give it 30 days for the inquiry to be complete. There is no change on the USCIS website, still saying my case was received.

Only to go to my mailbox to find approval notice...... My EAD and AP was approve on June 7..... :dancing::goofy:

Congratulations!! Good to know they are working even on sundays ? hope the rest of us march filers will get approved too :)

Hi guys you are all welcome, we have to continue to share whatever information we can with each other because we don't know what will help. I did get a email this morning regarding my service request as well but they are telling me they are still waiting on my RFE response witch is not true because the website said they received it on May 15th. I am so mad, I have to call them first thing Monday morning. My hubby wants to work so bad and they need to get it together and approve his EAD.

Sorry to gate crash - can anyone tell me how long an EAD is typically valid for if you've applied at the same time as Adjustment of Status after arriving via a K1?

EADs are always valid for 1 year but can be renewed free of charge if after one year AOS is still pending. Which is very likely for us K1s...

It's been 82 days for me. I have sent case inquiry, and got an email from USCIS saying that I should here back from them by July 5. Hope this week will bring some approvals.

Brill, that's good. After the K1 process has taken so long I'm not holding my breath for a particularly quick AOS, so having the EAD will be a lifesaver!
