I am the beneficiary- Spouse (Sri Lankan citizen) to a US citizen

08-26-2014 Form I-130 submitted

08-28-2014 Received NOA1 for I-130

10-01-2014 Form I-129F (K3 visa) submitted

10-14-2014 Received NOA1 for I-129F

01-30-2015 Received NOA 2 for I-130 (5 months and 3 days after) :D

01-30-2015 Received NOA 2 for I-129F (3 months and 2 weeks after)

02-11-2015 Received USCIS update (email notification) that case was dispatched to NVC

03-03-2015 Received NVC welcome letter via email with the case no and IIN (31 days from NOA2 date)

03-03-2015 Submitted DS-261

03-03-2015 Paid AOS fee

03-18-2015 AOS payment shown as 'paid' (NVC payment portal have had a problem with payments made hence the delay in processing)

03-24-2015 NVC reviewed the DS-261 (spoke to an agent and she reviewed the form over the phone)

Anyone who's had their interviews after June 9th do you have any updates about the delay in visa issuance due to the current problem that the State department is facing?

10/14/2014 – I-130 packet signed for
10/15/2014 – Priority date assigned
10/19/2014 – Acceptance confirmation email received
10/20/2014 – Check cashed
10/24/2014 – Received I-797C (NOA1)
10/27/2014 – Faxed the USCIS expedite packet to the Senator's office
10/29/2014 – Expedite request sent to USCIS from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/05/2014 – USCIS approved I-130 petition
11/07/2014 – USCIS sent case to the NVC for processing
11/08/2014 – Received I-797, Approval!!! (NOA2)

NVC

11/11/2014 - Emailed the NVC Expedite Packet to the Senator's office
11/12/2014 - Expedite request sent to NVC from the Senator's office on my behalf
11/12/2014 - NVC received case from USCIS
11/28/2014 - Received confirmation email from NVC, expedite request was received and is being processed

i had interview today ir5 visa the co didnt ask much but one of the quz was did you go to usa before i said yes she ask for how long i said from 1996 to 2003 and then she gave me g 221 and wrot docmentatian of exitantion of employment i asked here from where i can get it she said from your recored idont know what that means d

i asked here i have one or two from my old advanced parole is that ok she said could be what that means

right now i dont know what she wants any body have any idea plz

Can you spell it exactly like its written. I'm not understanding the "docmentatian of exitantion of employment" part. It seems they are asking you for documentation of your employment. Who what where when. I would assume you were on a H1B Visa or something they need all that information.

hi do you know if new Delhi is ALWAYS slow at giving interview dates or are they just having this issue right now.?? is there anyway we can transfer to Mumbai consulate. I am so stressed out right now. this frustrating process is killing me.

Did you guys received the information regarding interview date yet? I know there are couple of people waiting especially for Delhi embassy..(Me&Lal...etc) .July interview schedule is posted on the Delhi embassy website....

New Delhi has their July interview schedule up already??????? I called nvc Friday and we are still waiting for interview date. God I want to cry. It's been 45 days since cc now.

Mel&Lal, i feel very bad for you, i hope you get an interview soon. i do know of someone who got scehduled for july 12, but i dont have information when they were scheduled, i will try to get that information for you.

Hi i recently book the motel travel lodge its just a 8 minute walk to embassy. They have some nice hotels in downtown but travel lodge is cheapest but you can check out hotwire and get good deals.

That's where I was thinking of booking but the reviews online sound so mixed. Everyone says the rooms are small (how big do you need though?) and they are doing renovations so they were woken up to construction sounds at 6am. On the other hand other reviewers say it was perfectly fine.
