Yes, it's good to see a lot of approvals! I thought this thread was reflecting that the Islamabad embassy was having operating problems, but it looks like some stuff is going smoothly. Yeah, there was a more recent AP result, so it's not always such an easy embassy.

Do the officers interview people on a first-come, first-serve basis? If the petitions were approved with such a short interview, it seems that the officer may have reviewed the paperwork before starting the interview and they were already familiar with the case. Or do officers work a particular set of cases that have interviews scheduled that day?

Did your spouses bring their nikkah nama to the interview, or just the marriage certificate? What did you submit to the NVC?

You must bring original Urdu Nikah nama , Original marriage certificate by Nadra ...your Birth certificate by Nadra ( If you were not submitted these originals at time of NVC) ........

Yes infact they are. The embassy usually studies every case before conducting an interview, then they prepare set of questions and requirements accordingly.

I just thought I would share this info on this thread. Some people are saying they have read on their embassy sites that a "worldwide" system problem has prevented approved visas from being issued.

Any idea if this affects applications in AP or just the printing of visas?

I think any case that is in the process of biometric clearance requests, which are the background checks. This includes USC requesting passports while overseas.

You are probably right; however, the DoS statement says that this is a different issue from the one that happened last year. I hope this doesn't affect all the approvals I've read on this thread! And I hope it doesn't affect us getting our interview scheduled too! Oy vey!
