  1. Hello, Just thought of a question to ask. Of course my IR-1 wife and IR-2 step-son, age 19, will go to the embassy interview together. What about our son together with a U.S. passport, age 17. Does embassy have any interest with seeing him? Just asking?
  2. The original of my customary divoice document got missing after submission to NVC, what do I do? Should I obtain a fresh one before my interview date? Will the embassy accept a fresh one?
  3. Since, New Delhi US Embassy is no longer holding an interviews for spouses of USC & GCs. Bombay US Consulate is being busy with extra workload and applicants are facing longer waiting times even after case completion with NVC. Please share your interview dates, experience and all other details to helping out fellow members ....
  4. Has anyone considered asking to audio record their USCIS interviews? My husband and I are not using a lawyer and I get worried about all sorts of things because we’re on our own. Does anyone worry that IOs might misconstrue things said during the interview without any backup evidence? I know USCIS sometimes records interviews but, if they didn’t happen to record ours, would we be allowed to?
  5. Hi guys, I've posted a similar question under the AOS forum but maybe this is a better place as well: what are your thoughts and experiences on start to apply to jobs before you've gotten an EAD? My situation is I've come in as a K1, married, sent out AOS and am now waiting for NOA1. Positives 1) Get a feel for the work market in the US 2) Get experience applying to jobs here, experience interviewing 3) Might end up with a written job-offer, could apply for expedite process EAD 4) In case of 3 happening, will end up with a job quicker and all the benefits involved in that Negatives 1) Future employer may be annoyed when they find out that they have to wait longer for you (if you've done this- at what process in the interview situation do you explain you can't work yet)? 2) If you don't end up with a job offer you may have given up your chance to work at that company - if you apply again after your EAD they know your name and associate you with this unpleasant experience. Please let me know your thoughts/ experience. Thanks!
  6. I was just wondering if this is true. I was told that since my husband never been to the U.S his interview process is different in Ciudad Juarez . That the people that never been go to a different lines and are ask more questions. Is that ture or a rumor like the black chairs. does anyone know? I am very curious.
  7. Almost to the interview portion of this process. Late last year there was a lot of worry/discussion about difficulty in scheduling in Moscow. those of you who have recently been through this part of the process or are going through it...please, any insights? Tricks? We are hoping to grab an interview appointment as quickly as possible.
