Ok, so i realise each and everycase to thier own, but would love to see this thread grow with general basic information on approvals and what not. It seems from reading this website for a while now that things are actually improving in 2007 with some approvals of I130's and I129fs etc etc..

Seems some peeps are taking 3 months or less! thats some good news, but overall time until reunited would be say 6-8 months right?

Gimme some input folks!

Thanks

Yeah i've seen them threads before, and thanks for putting them in here, it is appreciated. to be honest i find the long list of information not very easy to read, a bit like caps lock being on... ;)

But thankyou i don;t mean to seem ungrateful.

btw aren;t these just for the approvals not the actual time frame of being re united? or am i being blind again!? hahaha

You'd be able to figure out the actual time from of being reunited based on the approvals

Example

girl37 must have sent of her application some time in late Feb and got her NOA1 in early march. The interview date was in October about 8 months after filing the orignal application

Melinda and I took about 4.5 months but only because I asked our Senator to help us as my father was sick and I needed Mels help here. Even with the help we received, it was the most stressful time of our life. The interview in Manila and the 10 day wait for the delivery of the visa was overwhelming for the two of us. We have been together in the US now for 4 months and are lov'in life but still feel the effects of the process.

It is very difficult to be apart, at times I didn't think I was going to make it....but I did make it, and so will you...hang in there it really is worth it.

You can estimate the length of your waiting by looking at others who filed for their petitions through the same service center as you. Then add in a little time between the service center, the NVC, and the foreign consulate/embassy. Then look at others who had their K-3 interviews at the same foreign consulate as you.

I found the 'Immigration Timelines' link very helpful

You can filter your search down to your specific service center and foreign embassy. Almost forgot to mention... :time: ...that will help you and others estimate their timelines. :)

That link is what I was going to suggest.

It seem the avg to get an NOA2 from the CSC is 2.5-3 months, whereas the NOA2 from VSC takes 3-6 weeks on avg. it seems.

What's important in the timelines is the consulate.

Getting the actual visa from after the NOA2 in China is about 5-6 more months of waiting, but I think the Canadian consulate only takes 3-4 months. Those are the general ideas I've gotten from reading the VJ processing time lines and real time lines people have filled in their signature.

One thing I don't understand-when I see the processing times for the different SC on this website it says-as of feb.2007 at VSC the average days from filing to NOA2 is 30 days.Sounds great! But why do people always say it has taken them much longer? Did I get it wrong or what?
