Long Wait For Immigration Together and Appart

I noticed some people were ranting about immigration while being together and doing AOS. I don't understand them. While being apart and ranting, yes I do understand, but while together, who cares how long it takes. My wife came here 1 week ago and I could care less how long her green card takes to arrive. She is here and that's all that matters.

Personally, I rant about it because of the excuses they give us. You try to ask them about details about your AOS and they tell you that after *10 months* they are still doing background checks (which obviously is not true). You try to find out where your papers are and USCIS says its in *Raleigh and Raleigh says its in Nebraska. It's not really the wait that bothers me, its how uncoordinated they are and how they flat out lie to you just get you to shut up. I don't mind waiting, what I mind is them not being consistent and making me worry if they actually know where the heck my papers are. I don't want to wait 1 year just to find out oops they routed it the wrong place.

Basically the USCIS doesn't want the process to be transparent in any way. They're part of the Dept of Homeland Security so I kinda get their point. But at the same time it is annoying the information you get from the misinformation line, even from tier 2s.
