Help with US address where Green Card will be mailed

Hi everybody

I am going to submit a visa application (form DS- 260) and I don't have an address where my Green Card will be mailed. I intend to live in New York.

Can somebody please provide me with his address in USA which I can provide in visa application. when I get to usa I will change my address to receive it. Or i can ask you to mail it to me or I will come and get it from you.

any suggestions are welcome.

I will submit Form DS-260 for Diversity visa (green card). the form asks me for an address in usa where they can send my Green card. I don't have an address in usa. I need some help from someone in usa to give me his address in usa which I can provide in form DS - 260 and after I travel I will eighter change it to my new address and receive it myself or i will contact the person and ask him to send to me or i will go get it from him

Just write down any valid street address, use a hotel for example, and change it at POE.

If you are DV2015 you need to get that form in ASAP.

do you mean that I can write any address and change it when I travel to usa with no problem

Yes (as long as it is a street address). When you enter, tell the officer you need to change the address where it must be sent. I presume you will have an address by that time as you will have arranged to stay somewhere... Edited May 1, 2015 by SusieQQQ

I just wanted to add that...if you reserve a hotel room

they will accept the mail and hold it (securely) for you.

I had to travel internationally frequently in the past,

and there were several times when I had to receive overnight packages at the hotel.

You better get your name on the address label,

otherwise, they will not give you the package.

THANKS that's really helpful. I will change address as soon as I rent an appartment when I get to the USA so that they can mail it to me. this is just to complete the form.

My post was to inform that it seems to be that they default to sending to:

Full name of the selectee

C/o the name of the contact Person provided

At the address provided

If you feel more comfortable putting your name unde contact person, do so. It's irrelevant if you'll be changing the address anyway when you enter.

No i haven,t i will change that address as soon as i rent a placd to live So that i can receive it on my own.
